Little tiny scratches in the paint that had turned into surface rust had to be feathered down to the clean metal and then brought back up with finishing putty and good sanding.
As you can see most of the car has been de-chromed and just the top left on because I didn't have time to take it off,
I need more space!!!
Well actually I need my own Garage!
The rear was the easiert panel to prep.  It was the only thing not dented on the car.
The sides.  What a bitch!  I think that there were more than 1,000 little dents on the sides of the car.  90% of them were knocked out with sheatmetal hammers, the rest were smoothed with finishing putty.  The pics are of the first stage.
I actually went over this five times, between wet sanding and looking for imperfections in the panels.
