Lente / Spring 2007 - 2

En weer zomaar wat fotootjes van rond het huis en Addis in maart en april (het weer wordt er niet lentiger op maar ik weet geen betere titel). And again some photos from around the house and Addis in March and April (while the weather actually gets worse but I don't have a better title).

Saman: 4 1/2 jaar/ years,  Yekuno: 2 1/2 jaar/ years

Fietsenwassen gaat tegenwoordig paralel, maar Yekuno is toch minder enthousiast dan Saman en kiept meestal halverwege zijn water om. OWashing the bikes is a paralel activity these days, though Yekuno is less enthusiastic than Saman and likes to empty his bucket before he is done. 31/03/07

Geinspireerd door de traditionele (askista) dansen op school, geven de jongens soms spontaan een voorstelling.  Dit keer een vrije interpretatie van een Oromo dans, met stokken in de nek rondjes rennen en dan "Oh.... oh... oh" roepen. Inspired by the traditionsl (askista) dances at school, sometime the boys spontaneously perform.  This time a free interpretation of an Oromo dance, running in circles with sticks behind the neck and shouting "oh...oh...oh". 1/04/07

We waren allemaal wat ziekjes deze maand van een venijnig virusje en soms moesten de jongens dan in het grote bed slapen.  Geen punt voor Fred, die pit rustig door. All of us were a bit ill this month with a nasty virus going round.  Sometimes this means the boys have to sleep in the big bed.  No problem for Fred, who keeps on sleeping like a baby. 5/04/07

Vlak voor we naar Langano gingen, kwamen we er ineens achter dat Yekuno precies dezelfde kleren aanhad als op een mooie foto van Saman uit april 2004 (sommigen van jullie hebben die thuis).  Saman was toen anderhalf en Yekuno nu twee-enhalf, inderdaad.  We zijn benieuwd hoe groot beide jongens later gaan worden. Just before going to Langano, we found out that Yekuno was wearing the exact same clothes as Saman on a nice picture from April 2004.  At the time, Saman was one and a half years old and Yekuno now two and a half, indeed.  We are very curious how tall both boys will be, eventually. 6/04/07
