Saman krijgt bezoek Saman gets visitors

Nog maar net 2 weken thuis en de eerste bezoekers komen al naar Sri Lanka: Paul Houtman en zijn kersverse vrouw Carla op huwelijksreis, in juli gevolgd door Peter Houtman en Hetty and in augustus door Marianne Boelee. De meeste plaatjes zijn door Paul met de nieuwe digitale camera genomen, thuis en aan ons favoriete strand in Unawatuna. Only two weeks at home and the first visitors arrive in Sri Lanka already: Paul Houtman & his fresh bride Carla on their honeymoon, followed in July by Peter Houtman & Hetty and in August by Marianne Boelee.  Most photos have been taken by Paul with their new digital camera, at home and at our favourite beach in Unawatuna.

Saman is 11 maanden/months

Natuurlijk hebben Paul en Carla veel kadootjes meegenomen: kleurige blokken waar papa graag mee helpt. Of course Paul and Carla brought many presents such as these colourful bricks that daddy likes to help with. 18/06/03

Op de terugweg natuurljik een stopje bij het ex-Nederlandse (en ex-Engelse en ex-Portugese) fort in Galle.  Dankzij fotograaf Paul staan we nu eens alledrie op de foto. On our way back of course a stopover at the ex-Dutch (and ex-English and ex-Portuguese) fortress in Galle.  Thanks to photographer Paul a picture of all three of us, for a change. 23/06/03

Maar heel af en toe heb ik lange mouwen aan, zoals hier in het Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Only very rarely do I wear long sleeves, like here in the Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya. 28/06/03

Gelukkig houdt Saman erg van king coconut, want je moet veel drinken in de tropen.  Extra lekker bij Wimela! Luckily Saman loves king coconut, because one needs to drink a lot in the tropics.  With Wimela it tastes extra good! 02/07/03

Het houten wieletje met belletje (door papa uitgezocht) erin blijft lang favoriet. The little wheel with bell inside (bought by daddy) stays a long-time favourite. 02/07/03
