I have some free time, so I decided to make another entry.
This morning, like most weekend mornings, I went out on an ACC training ride. Unfortunately, not many people showed up. Actually, only one other person showed up. Only Don showed up (Don Perry). We decided to do the south loop. It was extremely crowded near where we started at the University of Washington. Today, they had the Windemere Cup crew race, a baseball game, a track meet, and it was the opening of the boating season. The drawbridge was to be closed from 10AM to 4PM, but it turned out that it was only closed to cars.
The south loop starts from the university, goes south and follows the Lake Washington Loop trail (it's actually just non-arterial streets) down past Seward Park and into Renton. Then we go around the south end of Lake Washington to a park. After a short break there, we take the trail north to the I-90, cross the I-90 to a stretch of trail just north of Seward, and take the trail back the way we came. Today, it took me 3:34:56, but that includes the amount of time it took me to get to the university from my home in Shoreline. The bike computer says I rode 55.79 miles today. That's pretty good for me.
Incidentally, to make my web page more interesting, I changed the background. It came from Pete's bike index. That's my first manual link insertion, I hope it works.
The ACC (the bike club I belong to) is going to have a meeting on monday. I wonder if I should ask if they want a web page. I'm sure the sponsors would love it.
