| Mission Statement: The Genetics Club's purpose is to inform science teachers about the resources available to them in the area of genetic science. The Genetics Club would like librarians to purchase books on the genetic sciences that are for elementary and high school students. The Genetics Club wants to encourage book purchases on the genetic sciences by creating a GENE Recommended sticker. This sticker would be awarded to books that were selected by our panel of genetic scientists. The Genetics Club wants to assemble a panel of genetic scientists to assist in book selection and to serve as mentors. The Genetics Club wants to replicate these actions in high schools across America. The Genetics Club will seek to have students at other high schools join the network and further spread information to science teachers. The Genetics Club believes in students helping teachers to teach students. |
