Placing another sweet kiss upon her lips, he tenderly wiped her tears away. "Catherine I will come back to you." "I promise." "All right Vincent." "I will hold you to that promise." "I love you." "Be careful." "I love you too and I will." Than he was gone. A few minutes later, Catherine heard the urgent message over the pipes. Thinking, Vincent I know I promised to stay here but I cannot." "I have to know our son is safe." She quickly dressed and left the chamber. She ran to the Grand Hall. Only a single candle was lit. The hall was vacant. Knowing Mary had taken baby Jacob she went to her chamber. Arriving there she saw no sign of Mary or the baby. She was ready to look elsewhere when she heard a soft moan. Following the sound, "Oh my god." Mary was laying behind the bed, unconscienous. There was no sign of her baby. She knelt down to her. Mary stirred feeling Catherine's hand gently upon her head. "Mary are you all right?" "Coming around, Catherine my head hurts but I am ok." Catherine felt the lump on the back of her head. Mary tried to sit up, Catherine saw the panic looked upon her face. "The baby." "Catherine where is the baby?" "Easy Mary, touching her hand trying to soothe her, you have a nasty bump on your head." "You may have a concussion." "Catherine where is he?" "Mary I do not know." "Can you tell me what happened?" She hesitated a moment, before she replied. "I had just laid baby Jacob in his crib and was going to my bed." "I can remember no more." "Where can he be Catherine?" "We will find him Mary." Maybe father or someone else has him." "Can you get up?" "Yes I can." With Catherine assistance she sat on the bed. "Where can he be?" "I came here to make sure the baby was ok and found Mary unconscienous beside the bed." "She has a bump on her head." "She remembers laying our son in his crib and nothing more." Going to the bed, Vincent took Mary's hand are you alright?" "Where's the baby?" "Yes I am ok but I do not know where the baby is." "We have to find him." Just than Vincent noticed a gold coin on the floor. Retreiving it. He looked at it closely. Only one man has this kind of gold. Catherine saw the terror stricken look on Vincent face. "What is it my love?" "Catherine Pararcelus did this, showing her the gold coin. "He must have our son." "No, No, tears welling in her eyes, Vincent went to her and hugged her." It will be alright Catherine." "I will find Paracelus and return our son to you." "The community is aware of the danger." "Now I must go."
