| The First Time I Loved Forever Part 2 By Shirley Johns She asked him to sit with her and she would return the favor and read him a story. Vincent relaxed, took a seat and waited for her to begin. They spent most of the day together, reading talking, exploring the tunnels and getting to know each other. However for Vincent spending more and more time with her was going to make it harder when she returned Above. He decided not to dwell on the subject and on something that can never be. The time came for Catherine to say goodbye and return above. She would never forget Vincent and the growing attraction she had for him. He took her to the tunnel entrance to say goodbye but their Bond would be with them forever. Catherine places her head on Vincent's shoulder and smoothed his massive chest, thanking him for everything and she would never forget him. At that moment Vincent experienced something he never thought possible, the soft touch of the woman he loved. Six months later Vincent came to Catherine's balcony to leave her a book. She had just stepped out of the shower and was dressed in a soft satin robe. She stepped out on the balcony to think about Vincent and enjoy the lights of the city. He had been on her mind since the day she returned above. She turned when she saw a shadow and realized it was he. He came out of the shadows to see her and was numbed by her beauty. Her face had been repaired and she was even more beautiful than he imagined. She ran to him gave him a hug and said she missed him. He told her with a shaky voice that he wanted her to have this book and would be going now. She asked him to stay with her a while and read. They stayed on the balcony until dawn when Vincent had to return Below. Catherine held his hand gave him a soft hug and thanked him for the book and his company. His sapphire blue eyes held her misty green ones as he said goodbye. The next day Catherine was in the parking garage of her office building and she felt someone following her. She started to run but was snatched from behind. Before she could respond she heard a terrible roar and noticed the man's shadow being lifted off the ground and tossed aside. Then she heard Catherine are you all right? It was Vincent. She ran into his arms and hugged him as hard as she could. She felt his arms go around her so lightly that she thought she imagined it and he backed up. She asked him how he knew she was in danger? He said he felt her fear through their Bond. He than apologized to her for what she saw. She said there was no needed he saved her life. He walked her to her car and watched her leave. As soon as she left he hid in the shadows ashamed of what he is. On the way home Catherine kept thinking about Vincent's reaction after he saved her. Like that part of him shamed him. She had to admit that side of him was something to fear but also a part of the man she loves. The man she loves, Catherine finally admitted this to herself. The realization of this love made her believe that she and Vincent could be together if only he felt the same toward her. She would dream of him at night coming to her bed, the sight of his magnificent body joined with hers, and the depth of the passion they would share made her weep. How she would give up everything to be with him mind, body and soul. He already had her heart. What Catherine did not realize is that Below in Vincent's chamber he had opened their Bond to it's fullest and felt every emotion going on in her body. He felt her love for him and her overwhelming desire to make love with him. He could not get the imagine of Catherine waiting for him to lover her heart mind body and soul. The impact of his thoughts were so powerful they brought him to his knees. After he got himself under control he knew he had to ease Catherine's pain. So he went to see her. He gracefully leaped onto her balcony and lightly tapped on her door. The sight that greeted him took his breath away. Catherine was dressed in a floor length white silk nightgown that cling to her body like a second skin. He could see every curve of her tiny body. The gown has a slit that showed every gorgeous inch of her thin but muscular leg. The gown left nothing to the imagination. Her soft brown hair, he so wanted to run his fingers through, was high upon her head with several ringlet curls outlining her angelic face. All he could do was stare until Catherine called his name. He came back to the present and explained that through their connection he felt her pain. She decided to be as bold as she could and asked if he loved her. Taken back by her question all he could do was nod yes. Than he went on to explain to her that he could only love her from a distance. They are too different; their lives are too different. He cannot live Above and he cannot let her live Below. She belongs above with her friends and family. He could not ask her to leave them to be with him. She asked him another question that actually shocked him. Do you want to make love to me and that was his undoing. He said yes and reached out to her. She stepped into his arms and received the most passionate kiss imaginable. When they broke apart they clung to each other for support. They decided that they definitely needed to talk. They sat on her balcony and discussed the depth of their feelings and decided that a love like theirs and the Bond they share is worth everything. They knew the risks involved in their relationship but were willing to take them. Vincent knew then that the first time he loved forever would be with Catherine. He told her he must leave. There are feelings going on within him that have him scared. He had tried love once but someone got hurt and he knew he was not meant to love. They feelings and desires he has for her can only be in his dreams. He does not trust himself not to hurt her. The hugs and kisses they will share must be enough for him. Well that was not enough for stubborn Catherine Chandler and she will prove him wrong. She asked him to stay a moment there is something she must do and would be right back. A few minutes later she called his name and asked him inside. He realized all the times he visited he never entered her apartment that spoke every inch of her. His back was to her when she calls him. Turning toward her she was bare to his eyes. He asked her what she was doing and she explained everything about him is the man that she loves. When you love someone you could not hurt them. You are afraid that we cannot be like other men and women, we cannot share their dreams, and their desires but you are wrong. We have something stronger more powerful than love. Our Bond makes us different nothing more. If you love someone as much as I love you, you take the whole person whether good or bad. Vincent please let me love you as a woman loves a man? With tears in his eyes he said no one has ever touched his heart like she has. She is the complete part of him. Until he met her he was only half of himself. She gave him a meaning for life, a purpose for life a dream. As long as he has her love anything is possible. They needed each other's love. All of their love, nothing held back and they entered bedroom. Embracing in the aftermath of love, Vincent said Catherine I have something to tell you that may upset you and he lowers his head. What is it Vincent placing her hand under his chin raising his eyes to meet hers? Catherine I knew you fertile before I made love to you. I selfishly wanted it. Vincent what are you saying (trying to keep her emotions under control)? Catherine you're pregnant with my child. Looking at him with tears in her eyes, how could I be upset with you hugging him tight, you have given me the greatest gift I could have hoped for? I love you will all my heart and I am proud to be the mother of your child. Feeling her happiness and seeing her tears, he cried as well. Vincent, placing a soft kiss on his lips we are going to have a baby what a beautiful start to our dream. Part 3 |
