The Final Step To Love Part 3 As Vincent got ready, Catherine sat upon the bed wearing one of his shirts wondering what he was going to ask her. "If only father hadn't came in when he did." "By the tone of Vincent's voice it sounded important." "Oh well I guess I'll have to wait." Vincent returned washed and changed and smiled when he saw her. "You look so beautiful my love". "You seem so at home in my bed." "You belong there Catherine." "Yes Vincent I do." Getting out of bed, she slowly walked to him. He couldn't believe how cute she looked in his oversize shirt. Going straight into his embrace, she said,"mm it feels so good in your arms." "Catherine said Vincent, "you feel good in my arms." "I wish I could hold you like this forever, softly caressing her back. "Vincent, if you keep this up, you will be longer seeing father." Lifting her in his arms, he carried her to the bed and said, father will wait, I need to love you again." Passion spent Vincent quickly washed up in the basin in his chamber. Giving Catherine one more kiss, " I love you" and he left to see father. Catherine decided to wash up and change at the falls while Vincent was gone. Grabbing her clothes and clean towels she left the chamber. Vincent arrives at father's chamber to find him sitting at his desk. "Father we need to talk, said Vincent." "Yes son we do so have a seat." "Father I know you do not approve of how me and Catherine's relationship has progressed." "We love each other and we want a life together." "Vincent what kind of life can you offer her." "She is used to the high society Above." "Glamorous dinner parties and operas." "Vincent don't you see, her life would change too much." "She was raised around wealth and power." "You cannot take that away from her." "She may hate you for it later." "Vincent it won't work." "Your lives are to different." "Vincent what about children?" "Don't you think she wants them?" 'Father we said, "I could not share a physical relationship with a woman." "Catherine proved us wrong." "We thought I could never love and be loved in return." "Catherine proved us wrong." "Yes father, Catherine wants to have children very much she has told me so." "See son that is what I mean, let her find a man above who will love her and give her the children she wants." "Father I cannot do that." "Vincent if you love her, why can�t you let her go?." Before Vincent could reply, they heard a voice from the chamber entrance, "because I want to be the mother of Vincent's children father", and Catherine entered the chamber. Going to her Vincent took her hand. "How long have you been standing there young lady?" asked Father. "I heard most of your conversation." "I couldn't leave Vincent alone in this." "I would have been here sooner, but I got a little lost giving Vincent a smile. "Father may I sit down?" asked Catherine. "Yes of course" said father. Taking Vincent's hand she took him to the desk with her. "Father, Vincent and I are from different worlds." "We were raised differently." "But our love is not different it's unique and for real." "Our Bond connects us as well as our hearts." "Father we belong together.' "We were destined to be together." "Before Vincent entered my life, it was full of the wealth and glamour you mentioned." "I went to glamorous dinner parties and the opera." "But I wasn't happy." "I was lonely inside." "I didn't want that life." "I wanted a simple life." "When me and Vincent's paths crossed and I spent time here, it made me realize what I wanted in my life." " Having Vincent fall in love with me was more than I could have hoped for." "There is nothing more important than loving someone and being loved in return." "I love your son with all my heart"." I want to spend my life with him." "Father I want the honor of carrying Vincent's child." "Can you accept the fact that I truly love him?" "He could never be hurt by me, I love him too much." When Catherine finished father spoke." Vincent I can see that Catherine really does love you and I know you really love her. ""I was wrong about you Catherine and I apologize." "I knew how much Vincent loved you and you had given him a dream." "What I didn't know was that he was a part of your dream as well." Getting a little misty eyed, father said "now you two run along and be together." "You have my blessing." Giving him a kiss on the cheek, Catherine and Vincent said "thank you father." "You're welcome." "Now shoo." Holding hands as they walked in the tunnels, Catherine said, " I am so happy Vincent." "I can truly love you father approves." "Yes Catherine it does feel nice knowing he wants us happy." Arriving at his chamber Vincent asked " if she had to return above this evening?" "Well I do have to go to work tomorrow unless you have something more important in mind Vincent." "I'll tell you what Catherine, I will come above and spend the night in your apartment." "And, if I can think of a good excuse, may I keep you in bed all day tomorrow?" Placing her arms around his neck, she said, "do you want to get a headstart on tomorrow? Lifting her in his arms he carried her to his bed where they stayed until they heard the dinner announcement on the pipes. After they ate Catherine returned above. Vincent was meeting her later that evening. She arrived home and checked her messages. Only one call from Joe. She called him back and asked for Monday off and he gave it toher. Hang up the phone she was looking forward to spending all night and all day with Vincent. Smiling she went around the apartment lighting candles. After she showered, she put on a pale blue nightgown with spaghetti straps and waited for her love. At 10:00 he arrived. Going to the balcony doors, she opened them and ran into the arms of her love. "Catherine I have missed you.' "Vincent I have missed you too." "Come inside where it's warm and remove your cloak. Taking it from him, she went to the closet to hang it up. When she reached up to put it on the rack, strong arms encircled her waist. "I love you Catherine" placing a soft kiss on her back. "I love you too" and she turned around to face him. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she captured his lips in a kiss. The kiss ended leaving them both breathless. Looking down into her eyes, not saying a word, Vincent used the claw on each baby finger, to gently lower the straps on her nightgown. After it fell gracefully at her feet Vincent said "you look like an angel may I love you?" Walking into his arms she said, "please love me" and he carried her to the bedroom.
