| Summer Heat By Shirley Johns Catherine left work at 1:00 this hot summer day and decided to go Below earlier than usual. She changed into shorts and a tee shirt and headed for the tunnels. By the time she arrived at the tunnel entrance from the park, she was dripping with sweat. She remembered the mirror pool Below and decided to take a dip to cool off before surprising Vincent. She headed there knowing that this time of day the tunnel community would be busy with their work and she would be alone. Vincent had finished his work early and was heading for his Chamber when he got this sudden urge to cool off in the mirror pool. He has been looking forward to the evening with Catherine as they were going to listen to a concert in the park. Eventhough they do not have a sexual relationship, they do cherish special moments like this being together. Catherine wished that they could introduce this part into their relationship but Vincent will not commit to such a step being fearful. of the possible consequences so she had accepted the fact that they will never have that closeness. Catherine was entering the pool from one end of the tunnel while Vincent was approaching it from the other. They were so engrossed in their own thoughts neither knew the other was there. They were both thinking of their evening together as they neared the pool entrance discarding their clothes. Both of them had removed all of their clothes before they noticed each other. They were left speechless by the beauty of each other�s bodies. Catherine spoke first and apologized to him for invading his privacy as she tried to cover herself as best she could. Vincent apologized as well trying to cover himself. Catherine decided since is was really hot outside and they both wanted to cool off they might as well stay. She told him that they could share the pool if he did not mind. He agreed since they were both there and they jumped into the water. Vincent was trying to enjoy the water but he kept remembering the pale slender beauty of Catherine�s body only a few feet away. Catherine was finding it hard to enjoy the water herself thinking how it would feel to caress his gorgeously muscular body as the water was only a few feet away. It was as if they came together as one and looked at each other letting the other know their thoughts. After a few minutes, Vincent opened his arms for her to come to him. She dove under the water and surfaced within his embrace. The contact of their bodies sent such strong waves of desire through them they gasped from it. Piercing blue eyes looked down into gray green ones and they shared their first passionate kiss. When they broke Vincent in a breathless voice told her he has wanted to taste her soft pink lips since the day she entered his world. Catherine told him that she has wanted him to do that since the day they met. He pulled her closer molding their bodies together and captured her lips in another kiss. He did not realize how much he needed her until now. He has desired her since the beginning but had mastered it. However, he now knows that to be complete he needs all of her just as she needs all of him and was ready to commit to a sexual relationship. He lifted her gently in his arms and carried her to the side of the pool and softly laid her down joining her. He looked down into her eyes his golden mane covering his face and shyly asked her if he could love her. Catherine never believing this would happen smoothes his mane away from his face lifting his chin and with unshed tears in her eyes said yes. They stayed by the mirror pool all afternoon. Neither one wanted their experience to end but knew that everyone in the tunnel would be done working and they still had their concert to attend. They could not take their eyes off of each other as they washed and dressed. Vincent took her hand after they were clothed and led her to his Chamber. Neither spoke until they reached their destination when he grabbed her body to his and devoured her lips in a passionate kiss. He released her lips but held her close and apologized for not consummating their relationship sooner. Catherine told him that it was worth the wait and she hated to leave but she needs to return home and get ready for the concert. Vincent took her hand within his and asked her if she minded not going to the concert tonight? Feeling somewhat disappointed she said of course not. Why Vincent? Well Catherine I would prefer making love to you tonight Above in your apartment. Standing on tiptoes she kissed his lips until tonight my love, balcony 10:00 and be prepared to make the bedroom hotter than the summer heat.
