Shared Dream Part 3 When he returned she was waiting for him. "I am done Vincent taking his hand, we can go now. They walked in silence to the dining hall, each wondering how father will react. Dinner went well eventhough Father understood, he was not happy about the sleeping arrangements. He knew Vincent would not change his mind so he made no further comments. They adults remained in the hall while Mary took the children to their chambers. She was going to teach them their lessons for the day and then get them ready for bed. Vincent had promised to read to them tonight. Catherine could not wait; Vincent had such a wonderful voice. Vincent and Catherine stayed with the children until around 9:00. Making sure each child was snuggled tightly in bed, they gave them each a kiss goodnight and returned to his chamber. "Vincent you are so wonderful with the children. They love you so." "And I love them Catherine." "So Vincent, she playfully asked, do you feel like reading to an older child? Grabbing a book, she jumped upon his bed." "Well that depends, keeping up this playfulness, since you are this older child, I would love too�. Lying beside her he began to read. A little late Vincent noticed she had fallen asleep. Removing her head gently off his arm, he climbed out of bed covering her up. Going to his writing desk, he looked at the beautiful woman in his bed wishing she could stay there forever. Letting out a sigh, he opened his journal and began to write: Catherine and I have discussed her dream. We have no solutions or reasons for it. I have asked her to stay with me in my chamber this weekend so I can watch over her. We have not discussed what we will do when it comes time for her to return Above. As I look at her asleep in my bed, the answer to all my dreams is within my reach. If only it could last forever. Placing the cap back on his pen, he rested his head back against the chair and fell asleep thinking of his love. At 3am Vincent was awaken by the fear in Catherine. Running to the bed, he woke her up. "Laying beside her, he held her close and said, "go back to sleep I will protect you." "Thank you Vincent, I need you close" and she fell back to sleep.
