Shared Dream Part 4 The following morning Vincent was awaken by a message on the pipes. One of the sentries located a leak in one of the lower tunnels. The men were to meet in father's chamber within a half hour. Gently removing his hand from around her, he climbed out of bed. Looking downward, he hated to wake her but he could not leave without telling her. Softly touching her face, he said "Catherine." Waking up she said "good morning Vincent. Thank you for last night, I felt safe in your arms." "Catherine it gave me great pleasure holding you in my arms." Not intending to say it quite that way, he slightly blushed than changed the subject. "Catherine a leak has been discovered in a lower tunnel. The men are to meet at father's chamber. I was supposed to stay with you while you are here, I am sorry." "Vincent I do not want you to neglect your responsibilities because I am here. You are needed and you must go. I will be fine. How soon must you leave?" "Within a half hour." "Vincent let me wash up a little in the basin and change than we can go to breakfast." "I will wait for you outside my chamber. Call me when you are done." Catherine was ready in no time and they headed for breakfast. When they arrived, Mary approached them, "Cathy since Vincent will be gone most of the day, you can stay with me and help out with the children. Should you need to return to your chamber at any time, someone can escort you. Now dear enjoy your time with Vincent before he leaves." Vincent said, "thank you Mary for taking care of her while I am gone." After breakfast Vincent said goodbye to Catherine and left for father�s chamber. Remember my love be careful. I should not be too long. I love you. Softly kissing her lips he left. Catherine enjoyed her time with Mary and the children. The men have been gone all day. Father said "he received a message that the leak was bigger than they thought so it will take longer to repair." So she returned to their chamber and decided to read. As she waited for Vincent to return, Jamie stopped by with a big piece of cherry pie and a cup of tea asking if she needed anything. She told her the pie and tea were just fine. She told Catherine before she left, Vincent should be back very soon. Going over to the writing desk, she continued reading her book as she ate her dessert. She was so absorbed in her story; she did not realize she had a visitor until it was too late and her pie ended up in her lap. Mouse's raccoon scared her when he jumped on her shoulder. "Oh Arthur bad raccoon look what you did?" Knowing he did something wrong, he ran out the chamber. What a mess and she emptied her plate in the trashbag in the corner of Vincent's chamber. Going to the basin she began to wash up. Realizing the pie made a bigger mess than she anticipated, she decided to go to the falls instead. Placing her dirty clothes in a bag, she put on her robe. Grabbing clean clothes and a torch she headed for the falls. Walking she said, "I have came here a few times with Vincent I can find my way. Holding the torch in front of her, she kept walking. She never noticed how dark it was here when she came with Vincent. When it seemed like she would never get there, she heard the sound of running water. I'll follow the sound and I will arrive there soon. The sound was getting closer so she decided to run to it. Not paying attention to the ground below until it was too late. She fell head first into the icy water distinguishing her torch. On no, swimming around in the dark until she felt the solid ground. As she climbed out the water, she did not see the brick in front of her falling face down hitting her head on a rock.
