"The case we are working on is very important." "Probably the biggest one we ever had." "Had I not gotten involved in it, I would let it go but I am." "There is an evil man, who preys on people who are struggling for money." "He loans them large amounts knowing they cannot pay it back." "When they cannot do so, he takes everything they have he has even taken lives." "How can I stand back and let someone do that if there is the slightest possibility I can stop him?" "Vincent you know me, I can't do that." "Catherine what about the dangers to you and our child?" "Vincent I promise I will be extra careful now, touching her stomach, I have our baby's life to protect now." "It will only be for this week." "If I give the case all I have and it is not resolved by week's end, I will turn it entirely over to Joe." "All right Catherine, I know what this means to you." "Just be very very careful " taking her in his arms. "If something should ever happen to you and our child"�. He could not finish the sentence. Her fear was put aside for the moment as passion consumed them. Much later as she slept, Vincent held her tight in his arms. Looking at her lovely face in slumber, he whispered please be careful my love." " I do not like this dream you had." "I could never survive without you." Catherine woke up around 5 am and felt his eyes upon her. "Good morning sweetheart you look tired." "Do you sleep at all?" "A little, I was to worried about the two of you." Softly rubbing his face, she said thank you for your concern for us." "We will be fine won't we baby and she touched her belly." " Vincent please don't worry so." "I will try Catherine." "Good" looking at her watch on the nightstand she said she had better get ready for work and started to climb out of bed. "Wait." "Yes Vincent? Seeing the look in his beautiful blue eyes, she said I do too." "Both of them needed to make love before she had to leave." Walking her to the entrance above he said, "be careful. "Come home to me Catherine, I love you." "I love you too Vincent." "I will be careful and will return here as soon as I leave work.' "Good bye my love kissing him she went above." Vincent was worried the entire day. Father was concerned when he noticed his mind was not on the task he was doing. "Son, what troubles you?" "Father Catherine had another dream last night." 'I will not get into the details now as we have work to do, but I am worried about her especially now with the baby coming." "Vincent we both know she will be careful." "You are right father, she will and he returned his attention to what he was doing." Evening finally arrived and Catherine was due home in about an hour.Vincent was finishing up his for work the day and than he was going to the tunnel entrance to wait for her. He will be so relieved when she returns. What Vincent did not know was that Catherine had left work early. The case went well and Joe told her he could handle the rest. Her involvement in the case was over and she wanted to surprise him. Blocking their Bond, she entered the tunnels and headed to their chamber. Going through tunnel after tunnel she found she had gotten lost. She ended up on one of the deeper tunnels. Before she could backtrack to her original destination, she was chloroformed from behind.
