"Yes come in Lisa, lying the medial journal he was reading aside, what brings you here at this hour?" "Father I had to tell you what happened earlier." "It is too important to wait until morning." "What happened Lisa?" "Well I was in the tunnels, Vincent walks by me with Catherine in his arms." "They did not notice me even after I called Vincent." "Anyway, it upset me so I went to his chamber." "Father they were, let me just say, preoccupied with each other." "Vincent did not hear me come in nor did he hear me when I called his name." "I could have been anyone." "Vincent would never have noticed." "That's dangerous." "I see " "That could definitely present a problem." "What do you suggest Lisa?" "I think Catherine should not be allowed to spend so much time here." "She takes Vincent's attention away from everyone except herself." "The way she looks at him, any man would do what Vincent does." "Father I do not think Catherine is good for Vincent or us." "She is a threat to our safety." "You should talk to Vincent make him see he is better off without Catherine in his life." "So are we." "Lisa are you asking me to break them up?" "Yes father that is the only solution." "Catherine will find another man to succumb to her charms." "Vincent will have me to love him, you and the others as well." "I, ah we will help him get over losing her." "It will work out for all of us in the long run." "Lisa I will have a talk with him first thing in the morning." "Now you go get some rest." "All right father I know you will make the right decision." "Goodnight." Father pondered over what Lisa had said. "Could she be right?" "I know how Catherine's nearness effects Vincent." "Since they have become intimate is she too much of a distraction for him now?" "Yes Vincent and I need to talk as soon a possible." In the tunnel Lisa was walking to her chamber with a smug smile of satisfaction on her face." "Now that I have father on my side it won't be long before I have Vincent." After a restless night morning came and father went to see Vincent. He entered his chamber to find him still in bed, uncovered, naked to the waist his back to the entrance. "Son, he whispered, are you awake?" Vincent stirred and turned toward him. Father noticed a bare slender, shoulder in front of him when he moved. Catherine was in his bed. "Good morning father, he pulled the covers over Catherine before grabbing his robe and climbing out of bed. "What brings you here so early?" "Vincent I hate to disturb you but we need to discuss a matter of importance to the community." "Of course father, let me wash my face and brush my teeth." " I will meet you in your chamber." "All right son I will see you in a little while." When Vincent was done, he wrote a small note to Catherine letting her know he was with father. He would return to take her to the falls as they had planned. After laying the note by her pillow, he looked at her a few moments as she slept. She is so beautiful.. He placed a soft kiss on her lips still swollen from last night's kisses and whispered "I love you my angel." "I'll be back soon and he left." "Father you wanted to see me, entering his chamber."
