Pistols:

          One of the original things about Devil May Cry is that one of the best weapons in the game are the pistols. This is because they are still pretty powerful and can be fired rapidly while in the air. When teamed up with the ifrit gloves, they can shoot bolts of fire.   

Shotgun:

            The shotgun is an easily used weapon and can be reloaded fast due to Dante's 'one hand firing' 

Grenade launcher: 

                         The grenade launcher is very powerful and can help you a lot with marionettes and other boss's like griffon but the inability to jump and fire and not being able to pull off a combo will be making you see a lot of 'dull's' 

Force edge: 

                The force edge is Dante's first sword. Even though it is quite handy at the beginning of the game, as soon as you upgrade to the alastor sword you'll realize that this is crap. 

Alastor sword: 

                   The alastor sword is a commonly used sword and it can learn a lot of great abilities. One of these is air raid which allows you to jump into the air as a devil and shower anyone underneath you with electricity.  

Ifrit gloves:

                The ifrit gloves are one of the best weapons in DMC because it enables you to fight hand to hand with flaming knuckles!!! Some amazing abilities can be learnt like the meteor strike (which lets you jump into the air and dive downwards with your feet first) Just an ordinary combo can be devastating, a couple punches followed by a meaty axe-kick can pull a monster apart.
