Character Usefulness

Usefulness Rating (1-10)

10 (Second greatest magic user in the game you dont even need transform later on because you allready do 9999 damage easily)
8 (Many people neglect Locke alot, but he can be the strongest character in the game if you know how to use him)
7 (Early on Edgar is very useful, however as you progress his usefulness drops due to the limitation of his tools)
9 (Sabin remains useful throughout the game but as with Edgar he drops slightly near the end when magic becomes all important)
7 (I gave Bannon a 7 because for the brief time you use him his healing ability is so essential that you couldnt live without it)
7 (Some people use Shadow alot.. its just a matter of personal taste. He has potential for being very useful)
6 (Cyan is kind of sketchy, his low magic power makes him not that useful in some areas)
1 (Bah! this character is completely worthless, unless you manage to find a realy good monster that casts flare very early on)
9 (Another great mage, her runic ability isnt as useful later on because it kinda defeats the purpose of her casting magic...)
2 (Yet another worthless character, he only has like one good dance, dont be surprised if they dont work half the time)
5 (Setzer had OK magic power.. but he was just cool so i gave him a 5, otherwise not very useful)
8 (This guy had the equivilent of the blue magic ability in most other final fantasies, quite useful at times)
10 (Bet you didnt see this one coming huh?, shes a brat.. but you cant deny she has the highest magic power in the game)
3 (All this guy had going for him was strength... but then again everyone was strong in FF6)
8 (You can argue Gogo's usefulness however if you build his magic power and attack power.. you can get some good results)

11 (11 huh?, i thought you said the scale was 1-10?. Yeah well HES TO GOOD TO OBEY THE SCALE, a serious one man army)
5 (Eh ok, Barret never realy did much did he?, yeah thats what i thought)
6 (She is kind of useful in the beginning because she has healing magic and high spirit... but she dies..so bah!)
7 (Tifa can be pretty useful especialy her limit breaks early on in the game, she has good attack and speed)
6 (Handy when you first got him.. but not very outstanding in any way)
7 (You can actualy make Yuffie very good, her speed is excellent but she does lack strength, make sure to keep her in the back row)
10 (What more can you ask for in a character? ok maybe a big sword, but you just cant beat Vincent's magic.. not even Cloud can)
9 (As Cid would say "pretty D@$%!! useful" his highwind limit break is very nice, the best party is Cloud, Vincent and Cid)
-1 (Huh? negative one?, yes that is a negative sign... and if you've played FF7... you know why)

10 (Yes there were bad parts in FF8, but none of them involve Squall, a very solid character with Lion Heart. *drool*)
7 (Shes not very good until you get some good blue magic with her, such as white wind, mighty guard or ray bomb.)
7 (Zell kinda pissed me off sometimes, but he was pretty strong although his duel limit was confusing at first.)
2 (Yes Square has again blessed us with another useless cutesy character.Thank you Square.)
3 (Slightly more useful than Selphie but yeah well, she couldnt do much)
8 (Allthough Irvine is a cowboy, he is still the second best character in the game, go figure. His shot limit can do lots of damage)

6 (Yes this is the only game where the main character doesnt get a 10 *sigh* he has.. no useful abilities...none..)
8 (Vivi is the main magic user of the game, and his magic is very essential for success, unfortunately.. it can be weak at times)
5 (Arg! dont get me started on her. The ONLY thing she can do is heal, and sometimes not even that)
8 (Ok this guy just looked plain stupid.. but he did have some good sword attacks later on in the game which did loads of damage)
10 (What finaly a ten? yep FINALY, Eiko can heal very well and she has two key spells, life 2, and holy)
8 (Amarant is very strong and has some pretty decent fighting abilities, and you cant beat his "Im the best" attitude)
9 (In my opion the second most useful character in FF9 due to her white draw ability and very quick speed)
3 (Dear god what is this creature? if someone would tell me its gender then i would make a comment.. until then.. i wont bother)

10(Ramza is a super squire with skills like scream,yell,and ultima he can be very powerful and he can also do well in any other job)
7 (He can use a gun and that means great range his snipe skills are good at first but lose something after you get Beowulf)
6 (She is very good when you first get her because of her Holy Sword skills but then they become less effective later in the game)
1 (I can use a lot of word to describe her......but I'll just sum her up in two words.TOTAL CRAP)
1 (Just like his sister he is no good piece crap....He should have stayed dead)
10(Now THIS is a Character!! He will kill everything you tell him to!! No question asked!! Calling him a god is an understatement)
9 (Beowulf is the master of status effects he can put anything to sleep or do several other nasty things to them)
7 (This robot has great range and is really strong but he can't be healed by magic and can't learn new skills because he's a monster)
8 (Her job class starts with high stats and great natural skills like two sword,train,and monster skill. Overall she is very good)
5 (She is only good against humans because her skills need equipment to have any effect at all)
8 (Yes this is THE Cloud, Mr. Final Fantasy 7!! He only got an 8 because he needs so much time to charge his limit skills)
7 (He is an alright character but because he's a monster he not as versatile as the other characters)
