I am originally from the Carolinas, where I was raised across the street from the Springdale Race Course , home of the Carolina Cup and the Colonial Cup. There I learned to love horses, music, and the outdoors. Piano is my first instrument, and I later picked up flute. I entered the military in 1989, and deployed to Operation Desert Shield in '91, days before it erupted into Desert Storm. I remained in the Army until '95. After moving to Maine in '98 I began to take my music more seriously and flourished in The Reelers on Peaks Island, Maine. Several bands later, and several years later, I've ended up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
