This is where the remains of an innocent fanfic gone horribly wrong once stood.  If you want to continue reading the better, non-MarySue infected fanfic, click the arrow at the bottom of the page.  However, I would like to say a few words about Discworld fanfiction.
When I stumbled across the Writers University website, I was extremely confused.  I was even more confused and slightly apalled when I got to
this (in case you didn't know, you're supposed to click here.) It clearly states how Discworld fanfiction is not tolerated by the big cheese himself, Terry Pratchett.  Therefore, because of the plot of The Forgotten Wizard, I must say this:
The idea for this plot was never, ever mine.  At first, I honestly did think it was my idea, but then again, I hadn't read
Equal Rites yet.  I still haven't.  All the way through, that is.  I'm on page 14, if I remember correctly.
To get to the point, I must say that, no matter how untolerated it is, fanfiction will always flourish about everyone, everywhere, and everything (life, the universe, and everything, to quote Douglas Adams.)  It just matters how you treat the characters you are kindly given by the authors and their publishers.  However, you still don't own them.  So treat them well.   No matter how many disclaimers you put up, you must treat the characters well.  That's all I have to say.
