| The Story Entitled, "If You're Happy and You Know it, Clap Your Hands," Because I Can't Think of Anything Else A/N: Yeesh, that was a long title. Ok, this is my fourth short story, fresh from the Children's Book Store Fantasy Club. Same rules, except our coordinator, Emma, forgot to bring the official game cards, so she went around the circle and asked us for an element. If you read my first shortie, you can guess which was my element: Elements: -Army -Green -Invisible -Mechanical -Vampire -Lumpy -Talking -The ending, "...and they all smashed each other's heads off." In the begining... There was a talking, obese capybara named Fred. He was a mechanic and liked mechanical things. He also liked the color green, so Fred set out to find all the mechanical, green things in the world. Little did he know that an army of green-and-mechanical-liking, lumpy-headed vampires were coming to destroy him and take the green, mechanical stuff for themselves. So Fred wouldn't see them, the vampires used a magic spell to turn invisible. For days at a time they followed him shouting their war chant, "May your head be turned orange in hue and may your head fall off at an awkward moment!" One day, Fred turned around to find hundreds of vampires with nasty, big, pointy teeth. Little did they know was that Fred had taken up widardry in his spare time. He chanted the all-too-famous-make-your-victim-bash-its-head-open spell, "Anybody hates somebody, and somebody hates everybody, and everybody hates anybody!!!!!" The spell worked, Fred went on his way, and they, being the vampires, that is, all smaashed each others heads off. Moral: Do not frolic in green fields with obese capybaras. A/N: Gee, that was shorter than I thought. In this story, there are many quotations that are not mine. The first one ( May you be turned orange in hue and may your head fall off at an awkward moment!!!!!) is from the TV show that I haven't seen called Black Ladder. You can see its use concerning LOTR here. Secondly, the reference to nasty, big, pointy teeth is from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The next quote (Anybody hates somebody, and somebody hates everybody, and everybody hates anybody!!!!!) was said by my friend Kat and belongs to her. Lastly, the moral of the story has been altered slightly for use, but comes from Meagan at Jerry the Frog Productions (use can be seen here.) Ok, long A/N Disclaimer, but it was worth it! -Sirius Orion Black II |
