After the group broke up in 1970, he had a solo career.
He made many albums and worked with other musicians including Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Phil Spector, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Ravi Shankar.
He was also interested in Eastern mysticism and charitable causes.

He is most famous as a member of the Beatles.
He joined the group in 1962 as a replacement for their first drummer Pete Best.
After the group broke up he became a solo artist.
Starr acted in several movies aside from the ones he did with the Beatles. He is one of the two remaining Beatles.
