My name is Denise Mary Sennitt. I was born in St. Giles Hospital, in Camberwell, London, on 8th October 1948.

When I was four months old, my parents moved to a place in Suffolk called Wickambrook, where we lived until I was four and a half years old. Then my parents moved to Exning, near Newmarket in Suffolk, where I stayed until my marriage on 1st May 1971.

I had my first daughter Claire Ellen on 4th December 1974, and my second daughter Julie Vera was born on 10th January 1977.

When Julie was seven months old I had a nervous breakdown (I hasten to add not anything to do with the children) and had to be on medication for about two years. During this time I became pregnant for a third time, but unfortunately, due to my illness I lost the baby.

When Julie was five months old she was baptized, and it was at her baptism that I felt God speak to me. I felt drawn to go to church on a regular basis (we did not go to church before this time) and it was with God's help that I got through the breakdown. As the years progressed, so did my faith, and about twelve years ago in 1985 I became a Christian in the full sense of the word.
