There have been a lot of ups and downs in my life as there is in anyones life I believe, but God has always seen me through.
In the last two years there have been several changes to the things I do for Him. I sing in our church group when we have special services (me who usually hides at the back of people, out in the front of the people singing for God!!) We have even got together and gone to other churches that have wanted us to take part in the services for them, so they can hear more up to date songs, and it is also witnessing for God.
Each month our church holds a luncheon for people who are on their own and the elderly, so they can have a meal together and have a chat. I help by taking part of the meal being made, for them to eat on that day.
In the last few months there has been a big turn around in my life, as God leads me on further into serving Him. My life had got into a bit of a mess in my getting to bed rather late, or should I say early in the morning, sometimes as late as 6.30am. I needed God's help in putting this right, so a lot of prayer by me, my family and friends was called for.
On the 5th May 1997, God gave me the opportunity for this change and I took it. That night I got to bed several hours earlier than usual. I got up earlier too, started my day doing my Bible study and having my quiet time and prayer time before the other things of the day got in the way. This has continued and I am so thankful to our father for seeing me through yet another problem.
This is how He continues all through our lives if we let Him in. I am so thankful that I let Him into mine all those years ago. It has been a long slow process and is continuing, and will do so for as long as I am given life on this earth.
