The WCU Fencing Club started in Spring of 2005.  We had fun, we fenced a lot, and we did it again the next year.  It's now Spring of 2006 and we're still pushing forward.  We usually attend at least two competitions a month.

Duels have existed as far back in history as we can trace, and were often used to settle disputes and arguments.  It is from these duels that we derive the modern sport of fencing.  Fencing involves manipulating the blade and the body in order to score a hit (a touch) on the opponent.  Bouts take place on strips that are 1.5 to 2 meters wide, and 14 meters long.
