my first connection with the internet being on the IRC, a nickname could be no more than 9 characters. To avoid answering the inevitable questions of "are you male or female?", the Fem part was born. When using Fem... my first association was with Femme Fatale... which truly exceeds the 9 character limit, so Fem^Fatal was born. After an excessive amount of inquiries as to why I was so Fatal?... the search for a nick continued... Being a tall girl, I've always been conscious of height, so to give others the heads up, 5'11" was added on, creating Fem5_11. Some have thought 5/11 to be my birthday... others continue to ask, and depending on my mood, I'll tell them I'm the new solution to 911... but generally reveal the height.
