You are given two equations:
x + y = 3
x - y + 1
First you must put the equations in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b)
y = -x + 3
y = x + 1
Then
the two equations so you can see the point
of intersection between the two lines.

The point of intersection is the soulution of the two equations.
(2, 1) x = 2, y = 1
Lastly, Plug in the value for each variable into the equations to check that they are correct.
