| Rules: This competition will be a non-sanctioned competition for it's first year. Entry fee is $5 for each of your each of your first four entries. 5th and additional entries are free. Members of TCF, ALEs, Rackers, and SOBs will get their second entry free. Make your check payable to: Tri-County Fermenters. Entrants must be over 21 years of age. Entries must be made at home or non-commericial site. Entries cannot be made in a commercial establishment. This contest is open to all Home Vintners and Home Mead/Cider Makers. Pre-registration deadline is October 18th, 2008. Judges and stewards will be allowed to pre-register and bring entries on the day of the 1st round of judging. All other entries must be hand delivered or shipped by the October 18th deadline. Please submit one (1) 500-750 mL bottles OR two (2) 10-16 oz. bottles per entry. Bottles shold be free of any labels, shrink wraps, or raised lettering. Waxed bottles will be allowed. If bottle caps are used, they should be free of any markings and/or blacked out. Entries can be dropped off or shipped from October 4-18th. Shipped entries should be packaged carefully to avoid breakage and leaking should breakage occur. Shipped entries should be sent to: (Also a drop site.) Bottles must have a bottle ID form attached by a rubber band and be accompanied by an entry form. Be sure to list the complete category and subcategory for each entry. If mislabeled, your entry will not be re-categorized. It is your responsibility to properly categorize your entry. All entries will become property of the Tri-County Fermenters, the Appleton ALE Club, the Green Bay Rackers, and the Society of Oshkosh Brewers upon reciept. Best of Show entrant(s) will be asked for his/her recipe for posting on this site, Wines will judged using American Wine Society scoring. Click here for Wine Categories. Meads and Ciders will be judged using 2008 AHA/BJCP guidelines. Entries will be separated into categories based on the number of entries.
