Success For All Students
My Info:
Minimum Goals: These may seem to be too simple.  Please note that these are the minimum goals for every student in America.  Undoubtedly, many students will reach much higher levels in the reading, writing, and math areas.  However, upon completion of all of these goals, students will have the experiences and abilities to further their personal education when they have exited the public education system.

Structure
The structure should realize that students need to learn to work together and as individuals.  The structure should realize that students and staff have individual strengths in learning and in teaching.
Small learning communities for more individual attention
--Approximately 150-175 students per "village" (it takes a village to raise a child)
--Four
villages:  The "Techies", the "Artists", the "Chroniclers", and the "Builders"
--Each village produces work in the fashion of their namesake.  The Techies use computers and other technological (A/V, etc) methods; the Artists use art forms (drama, poetry, dance, music, etc); the Chroniclers use written formats and journalistic speeches and debates; the Builders produce items woodworking, home economics, business, agricultural, etc.

Curriculum and Instruction
Curriculum and Instruction should allow for flexible scheduling and provide students and staff with a variety of learning and teaching environments.
--Engaging
--Lectures
--Small Group
--Individual
--Whole Class
--Community Ties
--Fun
--Games
--Real World Connections
--Structured

Goal-Setting
Educational Plans and Goals for each student will allow the assurance that no child is being left behind.
--Each student is a part of an advisory class.
--The teacher for the advisory period guides the students in goal setting.
--Parents support and assist in the goal setting and achievement of goals.
--Students maintain peer buddies and network circles, including tutoring support.

Community Involvement

Community involvement will ensure that students are prepared to interact with and have a place in the future society.
--Each advisory class is paired with an elementary class (middle school okay too), for regular interactions
--Community members / businesses / organizations adopt an advisory class.  Advisory class members and the partner group support one another on a regular basis.
