Language Arts News Narrative Descriptive Project is due October 7th to 14th!!!
Students have four choices for their final copy:  (1) Spongebob story (2) Waffle Garden/ Laguna Feast Day (3) Narrative Descriptive Worksheet brainstorming (4) Free choice. 
The story can be written in various formats:  (a) comic format (b) short story format (c) picture book format (d) poem format. 
Final copy must include:
(i) a beginning to the story
(ii) middle/problem to the story
(iii)end to the story
(iv) dialogue with direct quotations
(v) illustration
(vi) front cover with title, author, illustrator, picture/border 
(vii) title page: title, author, illustrator
(viii) dedication: who are you dedicating this story to?  why?
(ix) letter from the author: who are you? what inspired you to write this story? what is your background as a writer?
(x) appendix with all four pre-writing activities -- ND worksheet, Waffle Garden/ Laguna Feast Day brochure, Spongebob sloppy copy with picture, Spongebob comic panels
(xi) back cover with book blurb, picture/border: paragraph that grabs the reader's attention (see back cover of most novels)
