Morphemes #5-8   :  Flashcards with word, definition, picture, and other necessary information.  #5 en - in; #6 cour - heart ; #7 ad - toward/to ; #8: voc -voice    

Glory and Praise Song Choice :  In your notebook, write the title, composer, first line, and why you chose the Glory and Praise song.  Write it on a small slip of paper and give to Ms. Felicia with your name and the title of the song.

Piggyback Poem  Rough  :  In class, read poem and completed Graphic Organizer #2.  Grade 5:  "Stars"; Grade 6:  "Goodness"; Grade 7 "Me"; Grade 8 "The Road Not Taken".  All poems in student literature books.  Using the poem, follow the outline of it, and create your own.  Grade 5:  What makes you feel good?  Grade 6:  What do you try to be good at?  Grade 7:  Two things you can compare yourself to?  Grade 8:  Two choices you've had?  Write rough in your class notebook.                             
                 
Autobio Word Art Rough :  Take your name and put it in word art. You may use a nickname, as long as it is school appropriate  

Autobio Word Art Paragraph : Paragraph that explains your word art (images, colors)  

Autobio Glory and Praise PAVE notes : Purpose, Audience, Voice, and Effectiveness of the song in your class notebook

Autobio Character Sketch :  Web of yourself with physical, setting, actions, simile/metaphor  in your class notebook        

Autobiography Project :  See handout.  Due between September 14-21            

Quiz #5:  10 bubbles, 10 spelling words
