Ms. Felicia to Albuquerque for Communication Workshop --April 7 Youth Conference Field Trip 8:00am-12noon --April 13th Third Quarter Conferences --April 21st 6:30pm-8pm Family Crafts and Class Meeting --April 23rd/ 24th, April 30th/ May1st, May 7th for FUNDRAISING: Arts, Craft, and Bake Sales... please complete information form!!!! --April 26th. Ms. Felicia to Albuquerque for Teacher Recruitment Fair 2. We are working on... --Math... Multiplying 2-digit (and greater) numbers. Our steps: 395 x 23 a. Put into expanded form and multiply: 5 x 3 = 15 90 x 3 = 270 300 x 3 = 900 5 x 20 = 100 90 x 20 = 1800 300 x 20 = + 6000 b. Line them up and add: 9,085 --Language Arts... Plays. Students received copies of scripts before break, and roles are listed on back.. Still looking for the following: "Hawaiian Adventure" --> Kanakoa; "Baker's Neighbor" --> Woman #3, Villager #2, Villager #3. We will perform the plays for Head Start, Pre-K, possibly grades 1 and 2 in May. |

3. Thank You!!! -- to families who contributed to Easter Basket & the Easter Egg hunt. --to Melissa (Katelyn) Alonzo & Corrina (Kimmie), Gloria (Kacey), Roberta, Olivia (Levonia), Heather (Chantel), & Tim (Tahnee) for chaperoning our Gallup Field Trip --to Cordy (Sam), Delanda and Troydon (Mandy), and Corrina and Alonzo (Kimmie) for helping with the Basketball fundraisers on March 17th. We made $29.20, which covered our bowling expenses with $1.20 for our classroom funds :) 4. Field Trip Planning --April 7th to Youth Conference Character Values, Language Arts, Social Studies. We will attend the conference in the morning, and return to school to reflect on the conference in the afternoon. --May to El Morro with Pre-School (1) El Morro Art Gallery to view our artwork, (2) hike at El Morro to view firsthand the artifacts such as from Juan de Onate's journey, and to emphasize land formation that we have studied in Science. |
