Check your list on your "brown bundle" and complete all work by Wednesday! Be sure to put the papers in order and paperclip the groups together. You will have four groups:
(1) Math HW
(2) Math
(3) Science (only one assignment)
(4) Language Arts
Put your flashcards envelope into your brown bundle as well.
Don't forget to check your assignment book for completeness... this is part of your grade as well!!!!

1. Quarterly Exams -and- Brown Bundles Quarterly exams schedule: Jan 10th --> Language Arts and Religion; Jan 11th --> Math and Science; Jan 12th --> Social Studies. "Brown Bundles" (this quarter's "Purple Pockets") are due this week by Wednesday.
2. Save These Dates...
January 20th (Thursday) 6:30-8:00pm Family Math Night -and- Classroom Meeting. Science Fair will be this evening as wellSo, come to Science Fair, our Classroom meeting and Family Math Night! Snacks, games, and prizes!
February 7th (Monday) 8:30-3pm. (date change) Chinese New Year Informational Station Rotation. We will need at least 10 parent volunteers. Shifts available if you cannot stay for the entire day... write me a note for when you are available. Possibility of having a New Year's luncheon on February 8th... trying to secure a group of lion dancers!
3. Junior High Bulletin Board Our class's poems from our Christmas Gift Exchange are on display, in addition to some of our recent work with our Kindergarten Buddies. Check it out!
4. Show and Tell Students are expected to bring in items for show and tell every week (beginning this week), using the schedule that was given for weekly conferences. Show and tell will provide opportunities for students to practice speaking in front of groups.
1. Reading... Read at least 15 minutes 4 times and record on Jan/Feb Log.
2. Brown Bundles... Due this week by Wednesday!
3. Science Fair Project... Do your experiment! Write your notes!
