Students with missing assignments are expected to stay for HW club (Every Tuesday afternoon 3-4pm), unless parent/guardian writes a note.
1. Spelling Bee -and- Science Fair More information on these two events should be coming from the spelling bee and science fair committees! Classroom spelling bee will be held this week. Science fair ideas should be finalized this week.
2. Save These Dates...
January 20th (Thursday) 6:30-8:00pm Family Math Night -and- Classroom Meeting.
February 9th (Wednesday) Time TBA. Chinese New Year Celebration.
3. Progress Reports Please sign and return progress reports!
4. Reading Logs December Reading Logs are due! They should have 18 entries (includes vacation reading)..
5. Junior High Bulletin Board Our class's work will be displayed on the bulletin board in the junior high building this month :)
6. Show and Tell will begin next week. Students will be expected to bring in items for show and tell every week, using the schedule that was given for weekly conferences. Show and tell will provide opportunities for students to practice speaking in front of groups.
7. Chinese New Year preparations will begin shortly. Chinese New Year will be celebrated on February 9th. More info coming soon.
1. Reading... Read at least 15 minutes 4 times and record on new January Reading Log.
2. Math... Worksheets attached
3. Assignments not completed in class (so you don't have to stay for HW club!!)
