"Some Same Things"

It all started when I was about 4-5 years old when I started school.  Preschool was my grade.  All I remember was shapes and patterns were my favorite studies.  I had a Cookie Monster blanket and always pretended to be sleeping during naptime.  But the problem was I cried every morning because I didn't want to stay in school.  The day I didn't cry was a really good day.
Today I'm in the 4th grade, 9 years old.  Now I like math and science.  We don't have naptime, but I still have my Cookie Monster blanket at home.  And I don't cry!
When I'm older I'm going to graduate high school and go to college.  I'm going to study home economics or to be a banker.  I'm planning to have some children, a husband, and I'm going to still live in Zuni, with my Cookie Monster blanket!

"The Beginnings of a Future Fisherman"

When I was five years old, my dad said, "Let's go fishing," so we went.  We got our fishing rods and we went to the truck.  We got to the lake and we got our rods out and went to go fish.
I went a long time, then my dad said, "I got one!"  It was a rainbow fish.  I said, "Cool," and went to get one.
So I went a couple of hours and then we had to go.  We walked and I put my rod in the water.  A few minutes later, I got one!!  I said, "I got one!"  It was heavy.  My dad said, "I'll help you."  We got my 5 feet long fish and we went home.

"What I Want To Be In The Future"

When I was small, I watched people playing volleyball on tv.  So, I wanted to be a volleyball player when I got to high school.
In college, I want to play volleyball and be a pro volleyball player in Florida.  I want to be in the pro leagues.  In the pro leagues, it'll be fun because you will be famous.
So what I'm doing now is practicing volleyball after I do my homework and my work.  So I practice volleyball every day.

"Yesterday"

When I was small
I used to eat beans
but when I grew up
I didn't like it anymore.
As I get older
I will probably eat a lot more beans.

"Today"

Today I came to
school and I almost
fell asleep.  In Religion
we were talking about
the Messiah.
We picked our ornaments:
I got a yellow
snowman.
Then we
went to
Library.
I checked
out

Brink.
Tomorrow, I
will do what
my ornament
says to do.
And with
my book, I
will read
4 chapters.

"Yesterday"

Yesterday is the time that I will remember.
Yesterday I fell off my bike.
It was my first time.
I barely put my feet on the pedals.
That's because my Dad was holding
on to the bike.
I thought I was riding the
bike but my dad was taking me.
I will remember when I was
four.
