Kian and I are here at Mark and Sarah�s house for their barbeque party. They had invited the bands Westlife and Blue to the party. Both Duncan and Lee brought their girlfriends Stacey and Marita to it! They have become great friends! I also noticed Mark and Sarah�s families were there too so I had a feeling there was something going on but I might be wrong. I�m sure it�s just a party since Westlife have two week�s break from their �Turnaround� Tour! I went to the kitchen to get some water when Katy came in. �Hi Cat.� I smiled weakly �Hi� �So, how are you?� �I�m great, thanks. How about you?� �I�m good� �That�s good� �You and Kian are so happy together and I loved the OK! magazine interview� �Yea, I�m happy with him. Thanks, that was one fun day we had� smiling. Then it went all quiet between us, I was just about to open my mouth to say something when Katy spoke up, �Cat, I�m sorry for everything with the rows in the past few months. I missed the chats, having a laugh, shopping and partying.� I started to cry, �I�m sorry too. I was such a rotten bitch to you and I want to apologise for that� �It�s okay, you were going through a rough time and the main thing you got through it then with Kian�s help� �Yes, he got me there eventually, even though I was breaking his heart seeing me suffer. Though I love him with all my heart� �Awww, that�s sweet� giving me a hug. �So, anyone in your life?� She coughed, �I don�t know what�s your reaction is going to be when I tell you. I�m seeing Ant and before you say anything, Lee knows about us and he�s fine about it.� My eyes nearly popped out. �OMG, I don�t know what to say but good luck with you and Ant. How did Lee take it?� �Surprisily, he took it well, he wished us the best of luck� �Aww, that�s nice of him� �Yea, it�s meant a lot to me and Ant especially I had dated Lee.� I smiled and we both headed outside to join in the rest of the party. While I was chatting away to Katy and Sarah, I felt someone slipping his hands around my wait assuming it was Kian but it turned to be Lee instead. �What�s up?� �Nothing is up, babe. Can I not talk to my best friend I haven�t seen in a while� �Oh yea, good point. Sorry, I hadn�t been in touch lately, I�ve been snowed under with work� �It�s okay, Cat. Katy tell you about Ant?� �Yea, she told me a short time ago� �I�m glad you two sorted things out� �Yea, I�m happy to see two of my best friends talking again� said Sarah. Then Mark called her, so she left us to go to Mark with a huge smile on her face. I said to Katy, �I swear to God, there�s something fishy going on here but can�t put my finger to it. Katy nodded in agreement, �I was thinking the same as well.�
Some minutes later, Mark shouted �Can we have a bit of hush please?� So everyone all went quiet and turned to Mark�s attention. �Thank you. The reason we having a party here is to announce my engagement to Sarah here.� Everyone squealed with delight congratulating the lovely couple! Katy and I ran to Sarz and hugged her demanding to show us the ring. It was a beautiful ring Mark presented to her. I went off to Mark to congratulate him on the engagement, Kian was with him also. �Markkkkkkk! Congrats, that was a nice surprise you gave us� �Thank You Cat, we wanted to share our news with our families and friends who are special in our hearts� �I�m really happy for you and Sarah, mate� said Kian. Mark shook Kian�s hand, �Cheers, no doubt it will be you and Cat next� winking. I laughed, �It�s too early to get engaged and besides we only been together almost 9 months, there�s plenty of time to settle down someday.� Kian agreed with what I�ve said. �For now, we going to enjoy life to the full while we still young� said Kian. �Well, I look forward to see you get married and I can�t wait to marry Sarah, I love her to bits� said Mark. Kian and I went �Awww� in unison. So, Mark left us alone to join Sarah. Kian pulled me into him and said, �I can�t believe Mark is going to get married� �Yea, me too for Sarah. I�m so glad she�s found happiness� �I love you� �Me too Kian� giving him a peck. �Oi, you lovebirds. Get a room, will yas?� I turned around to face Duncan and Stacey. I laughed, �We didn�t do anything, did we Kian?� �No, it was a little kiss you gave me.� I giggled, while Dunk and Stacey started to laugh. �We only messing with you� said Stacey. �Hehe, I know ye were� �Isn�t it great to see Mark and Sarah engaged?� I smiled, �Yea, I�m really happy for them� �It was pure luck for them to meet each other� �Yea, she was on a high after meeting him for the first time� �So, how are you and Kian?� �We both are great and ye?� �Brilliant, especially my Aussie girl� gazing at Stacey besides him. Kian and I smiled at each other looking at them. The party went on for hours and hours until I was getting sleepy in Kian�s arms on the couch. I don�t know what happened after I fell asleep.
Chapter 53
*** A Few Days Later ***
Kian and I are on a boat taking a trip on La Seine. Kian took me away for a week�s break from work. Daniel was fine about me taking a break as I deserved the break after working non-stop in the last few weeks and I didn�t get too many breaks in between work and meeting up with Westlife at the weekends. We are spending a week long holiday in Paris, I didn�t want to go somewhere sunny for a change, and instead I wanted to see a bit of Europe! *laughs* So, Kian suggested Paris as a start which he knew I always wanted to see Paris. I laid my head on Kian�s shoulder with his arms around my waist holding my hands taking in the lovely scenery. Kian was whispering sweet nothings into my ear which made me smile and giggle at the same time.
A while later, we were walking down a street full of stalls looking at good bargains, so we bought bits and pieces to take home with us! *rolls eyes* We went to a nice pizzeria place, we sat outside the place enjoying the sun and watching the people pass us by. Then my phone started to ring, so I answered it and it was Sarz! �Hiya Cat how�s Paris?� �Hey hun, Paris is fabulous. Is everything okay?� �Of course, never better. I just rang to ask you something� �Oh yeah, what�s that?� �I like you to be my maid of honour at my wedding?� �OMGGGG, are you serious?� �Yes, I�m serious� �Then I am honored, thank you so much for asking me. It was so considerate of you to ask me. You made my day� �Thank you Cat that means so much to me, is Kian there?� �Yea, he is� �Mark wants to speak him� �Ok, 2 seconds.� I told Kian that Marky wanted to speak to him as I handed over the fone. So Kian spoke into the phone while I finished off eating my meal. Kian finished the phone call five minutes later with a smile on his face. �What�s the smile?� �Mark just asked me to be his best man!� �OMGGGGGGGG, Sarz asked me to be her maid of honour� �That�s why you were screeching down the fone for.� I laughed, �Yea, that�s right. I�m already excited now� �Yes, can�t wait for the wedding to come round plus the wedding is a week after your 21st� �Oh yea, I never thought that at all� �Bless you darling� as he leaned in to give me a kiss. Just as he kissed me, there was a flash before us. We turned to the photographer running off saying �Thank You�! I rolled my eyes, �Do they not let us relax and get away from work?� Kian sighed, �That�s the way they work. We can�t stop them doing their work. Anyway, let�s get back to the kiss� grinning. I gave him a light thump on his arm cheekily. �Haha, you love me don�t you?� �I do, unfortunately� laughing. �Don�t be so mean� �I was only joking babes.� He laughed, �I know you were Catherine� as we kissed once again.
A while later, we got a taxi to take us to the Eiffel Tower. I was looking forward to seeing the views from there, which Kian wouldn�t let go of my hands, which was a bit strange. I guess he�s just letting me know that I�m safe. We got our ticket to enter inside and went up in the lift. We reached the centre of the tower and the view just took my breath away that Kian laughed at my bewildered face! I laughed as well, pinching his ass! �Can you believe it; I missed you pinching my ass in ages� with a grin on his face. I grinned back naughtily, �You love it, don�t you darling?� �Yes, I do. God, I love you so much.� I rolled my eyes, �You always saying that� smiling. Suddenly, Kian went down on his knees. I hissed, �What the hell are you up to now? Get up off the ground� �Catherine, I brought you here cause it�s a prefect place to do this� as he took out a little box from his pocket. He slowly opened up the box and inside it revealed a glittering ring. I gasped in astonishment. �Will you marry me?� I put my hand over my mouth in shock. �Are you for real?� �Yes� �Then the answer is YES!� �Thank you for making me happy. I love you� as he put the ring on my finger. �OMGGG, I can�t believe it. I�m still in shock Kian. I love you more than anything else in the whole wide world. I threw my arms around Kian and kissed him passionately. Everyone in the background started to clap and cheer. We turned around to face the people and said thank you to him; they were congratulating us and wished us the best in the future.
Back at the hotel, I had a surprise in our bedroom. Kian had asked reception to put a bucket of champagne without me knowing plus there was a massive bunch of flower sitting on the table! I screeched, �OMFG, I cannot believe this is happening already.� Kian laughed, �I want the best of everything for my fianc�e, whom I love very much.� I blushed, �I wish you stop spoiling me, darling� �I want to� �If you want to, I�m not stopping you� kissing him. Kian opened the bottle of champagne and poured them into the glasses. Then he handed me a glass, and said �Here to the future� �Yes, the future Mr. and Mrs. Egan� giggling! Kian sported a massive smile on his face! �I was just thinking now, we should go to Sligo and Kerry and break the news to our families when our break in Paris is over� �Yes, that�s be great� �Kerry or Sligo first?� �I go for Kerry� smiling. �Are you sure?� �Course� �Thank You.� Kian went off for a quick shower while I lay on the bed admiring the ring on my finger. I was lost in my thoughts thinking back about me and Kian together that Kian suddenly jumped on the bed beside me. �Yohoo, are you there?� �Yea, I�m here� poking my tongue at him. �What were you thinking about?� �Us. You have changed my life around and I thank you for that� �I�m there for you always and will forever until we grow old together� �I know, I�m itching to tell everyone but our families come first� �Me too, I agree� �We should keep this under wraps from the others after our parents, we give them a little surprise but I don�t want to get in the way with Mark and Sarz stealing their thunder� �I�m sure we won�t be in the way �cause I know they be happy for us� �Yes� snuzzling up to Kian. He was playing with my ring and said, �The ring is prefect on you, I�m glad I picked the right one� �Yea, I�m already fallen in love with you. It definitely set you back a lot money� �It did, but you�re worth every penny� �Come on, let�s get ready for dinner� as I got off the bed to change into different clothes and so did Kian. Minutes later, we went to the restaurant and got champagne to celebrate the engagement together! We had a good laugh in the restaurant and we both drank a little too much on the champers! *rolls eyes* Afterwards, we went back to our room and crashed onto the couch tickling each other. We watched telly, even though it was French. I was getting sleepy that I went to bed. Kian followed me, �You okay?� �Yea, I am fine. Just tired� as I got inside the bed. �Night Kian� as soon my head hit the pillow, I fell asleep straight off that I didn�t heard Kian say �Night sweetheart� as he planted a kiss on my cheek.
