*** Three Days Later ***
Kian and I were heading back to London after visiting our families in Kerry and Sligo to announce the news of our engagement. Both sets of families were delighted with the news that Kian�s family in Sligo took us out to dinner to celebrate but kept it low-key as no-one else apart from our families knows about it. I had taken off the ring when we landed at Heathrow as we both knew there would be photographers lurking around the airport. Once we came out of the arrivals gate, they ran over to us snapping their stupid cameras at us and someone had asked, �Is it true ye are engaged?� I cracked up laughing, �Us engaged?� You must be having a laugh. No, it�s not true. Do you see a ring on my finger?� waving my hand at them. Kian told them to shove off and leave us alone. He was grinning at me, �You handled that pretty well� �Well, I�m used to it, so I have to be prepared� �You�re wicked.� We met Paul outside, and he took us home.
A few hours later, we were both heading off to �No 10� Cavendish Square. We were looking forward to springing the surprise on the Westlife and Blue gang who was gonna be there as well. We decided not to announce it but instead I was going to wear the sparkly ring and let them notice it for themselves! *laughs* While we were chatting and drinking, I had went to the ladies and had put on the ring before heading out on the dancefloor to join Kian. I whispered to him, �I�m wearing it. I can�t wait to see their reaction.� He grinned manically like a devil, �Me too darling. Love you babes.� I kissed him on the lips. As we danced to a slow song, when Lee shouted, �Is that what I think I see on your finger?� I looked up and said, �What you on about?� �I�m talking about the ring, are ye engaged or something?� I grinned and held up my hand to him, �Yes, we are� �OMFG, Congrats babe� as he ran over to the others telling them! I rolled my eyes at him and laughed. �I�m surprised Lee noticed it first before the others� said Kian. Suddenly we were surrounded by everyone from both Westlife and Blue gang congratulating and hugging us. Katy couldn�t believe that two of her closest friends got engaged within a week of each other both to Mark and Kian. She was so happy for us that the three had a massive group hug. Stace congratulated me and Kian and I noticed Dunk wasn�t with her. so I had asked where was he and she said he was gone outside. I left the gang in search of Duncan outside. I found him sitting on a seat; I gave him a fright as he never heard me coming. �Hey Dunk, you okay?� �Yea, I�m sound� �You not, you are too quiet at this time of the night which is not you� �I�m just knackered. Anyways, congrats on the engagement� �Thanks, you are okay about it?� �Yea, of course. Why would I be?� �Cause I know it was just over a year and a half ago we first met in that infamous incident in the Ivy� rolling my eyes. Dunk was surprised as he was thinking about the same thing too. �I guess finding out you got engaged got me thinking about the good times we had. If it wasn�t for Kian, I probably would have proposed to you if we were still together now but things have changed and both of us moved on with our lives. I just can�t believe you are actually going to get married. I�m happy and excited for you and Kian� �Aww, Duncan. That means so much to me, Thank You� �We sorted once again, so let�s get inside and get the party started.� I giggled, �Can�t wait.� Kian spotted me, �where did you disappear to?� �I was outside talking to Duncan here�. Duncan turned around to Kian and said, �Well done mate. You take good care of Cat here, will ya?� �I will and thanks� slipping his arms around my waist. I laughed, �He�s always takes care of him� grinning. �God, I don�t want to know. I�m off to my Aussie darling. Catch yas laters.� We finally got some time to ourselves but it didn�t last too long when Lee came along and took us apart. I screeched at Lee but he just laughed. �Sorry Kian, just want to take her for a dance. You can have Marita while I have Cat.� Me, Lee, along with Marita and Kian took to the dancefloor. As we danced, Lee was smiling, �What you smiling about?� �I can�t get over the fact that my best friend is getting married to a wicked guy.� I laughed, �Start believing it. How�s it going with Marita� pointing at her dancing with my man! �Absolutely brilliant, she�s a wicked girl to be with. I have to admit it was love at first sight when I met her� �Aww, you look so cute saying all that. She�s a great person to get on with� �Yea, she is. I�m glad you two get on well.� The song ended, we linked up with our partners. Marita and I went to the bar to grab some drinks and caught on the news!
Three hours later, it was time to head home. Everyone hugged and kissed each other as we all went different directions in the taxis. We got home eventually in the small wee hours of the morning.
*** The Following Day ***
I had to get up for work, I was to be at work for half nine. I was suffering a terribly sore head! I grabbed a shower and some breakfast before getting a taxi once again to work. I was leaving Kian in bed sound asleep! �Lucky eejit staying in bed while I had to work� I thought! *laughs* I couldn�t wait to tell Stacey but that�s if she hadn�t already found out by then. Anyway, I arrived in work, I couldn�t see Stacey around, so I got started on work. Then Stacey gave me a fright, �Cat, you back! Did you have a nice time?� �Yea, I had a really good time� grinning. She laughed, �Obviously it was a naughty good time judging by the smile on your face. I looked at her in shock, �OMFG, you haven�t heard?� She looked in confusion, �Heard what?� �This� putting my hand in front of her. She gasped in astonishment, �OMGGG, he proposed! Arghhhh, congratulations hun!� jumping up and down. I joined in the jumping, then Daniel came and we abruptly stopped jumping and got to work. He asked, �Has something happened seeing you two jumping around the place?� I looked at Stace and cracked up laughing, �Looks like the papers believed me yesterday, no wonder the two of you hadn�t found out� �What are you on about Catherine?� �Kian and I have got engaged in the City of Love a few days ago� �Catherine, that�s fabulous news. Congratulations are in order for you and Kian and I wish you all the best for the future.� �Thanks Boss.� I spent the rest of the day working away and texting Kian! *rolls eyes* I spent the rest of the evening after work with Kian before he joins up with the band the following day to continue the �Unbreakable� tour!
