*** New Year's Eve ***
Oh well, today was the last day of the year. It was a fairly good year, the highlight of the year was meeting Katy and Sarz in London and after that you all know what happened while I was in London. Just two days ago, I broke up with Dunk and yesterday my pregnancy confirmed by the doctor. I had decided not to tell Dunk for another while but wanted to tell Katy and Sarz about the news soon as I know they will keep it quiet from the boys. The question is when I am going to tell them.
Well, I'm at Katy's house; it was a full house because Mark and Sarz were there as well as Lee. The others were meeting us at the pub; we all decided to go the pub instead of hitting the clubs for a change. I wasn't sure if Dunk was coming or not. Katy, Sarz and I helped each other with the clothes and make-up, we were all wearing LBD's! The two certainly caught Mark and Lee's eyes!! The three of us were looking forward to karaoke, Katy and Sarz were planning to sing a song by Blue for their boyfriends Lee and Mark. I knew deep down in my heart that they will love it and enjoy it too! I was going to sing a song too after them but they don't know what song I'm going to sing. We headed off to the pub a short time later, we were going ringing in the new year a little early in the evening! *laughs* Obviously, I wasn't going to drink alcohol at the pub under the circumstances. Even though they were surprised that I wasn't drinking alcohol, at least they didn't make me to. The pub was getting packed as the evening went along. I had texted Stacey and Emma wishing them 'Happy New Year', they were going to 'Chinawhites' to ring in the New Year. I went to the bar with Ant to get more drinks for the gang when someone caught my eye. We held eye contact for ages until Ant nudged me. "Are you okay?" "Sorry, did you say something?" "I asked, are you okay?" "Yea Yeah, I'm fine!" "Sure? You looked like you seen a ghost or something?" "Nah, I've just�� Oh, it doesn't matter" "Ok, we better get the drinks to them otherwise there will be drink flying around." We burst out laughing.
Sometime later, Katy and Sarz were ready for karaoke; they were going to sing 'You Make Me Wanna'. They were brilliant, the crowd enjoyed it. Even Lee and Mark were taken back; they just ran over to them and kissed them! I smiled watching them looking so happy in love. I was up next for karaoke; I was going to sing 'Close' by Westlife. As I sung, the person that caught my eye earlier was watching me sing, I could see Katy and Sarz shedding tears. I didn't know that Dunk had come in while I was singing. I eventually finished the song and got an arousing cheer from every corner in the pub. Katy and Sarz were wowed by my performance, while Mark was shocked to hear me sing it with compassion. He said, "You should be a singer" "Me?! You must be joking. Nah, I'm stick to what I do but thanks for the compliment" as I gave him a hug. "Not a problem, you are amazing." As I was just sitting down when I saw Dunk talking to Ant and Lucy, he caught me off-guard looking at him. I quickly turned my head the opposite way and saw the guy! The next thing I knew, Dunk came over and we started arguing drawing the attention of the pub towards us. All of a sudden, I shouted at him saying "I'm pregnant with your baby." Dunk stood rooted to the spot while I ran out of the pub with tears running down my face. I ran out and across the street, I could hear Katy and Sarz calling me but I kept walking away. A few minutes later, the fella I was eyeing up earlier came up from behind me and asked "Are you okay?" "No, I'm not. God, why did I tell him?" "I'm sorry that it came to a head between ye" "I wish I hadn't went out tonight and I would have not told him" "I'm sure you don't mean that" "Actually, I do. I wish I hadn't met him at all" "You don't mean that, come on back inside. You are shivering cold." He wrapped his jacket around me. "Thanks, Frank" "Not a problem, Catherine" "How did ya know my name?" "Well, I have seen you in the papers with your ex" "Oh, right." We walked back to the pub; I took a deep breath before entering. The people turned around and turned their heads back to chatting. I could see Katy and Sarz running towards me, "I can't believe you're pregnant. Why did ya tell us? We are your mates after all" "Because I only had it confirmed by the doctor, even though I had my suspicions for a while. I was going to tell you anyway before I announced it to Dunk here, I can't believe I told him" "Oh right, we are here for ya if you need us" "Thanks, I'm glad to have such great mates like you two" "Oh no, it will be in the papers 2moz. I'm so stupid" "That's what Dunk just said about the papers getting wind of it a few minutes ago" "Ha; he's getting worried now about how the fans will take the news. He blames me for all this stuff" "Cat, he doesn't blame you. Besides he still wants you back" "I'm sorry but it's not going to happen. You know what, I'm going home. I can't stick it here anymore." The two started begging me to stay but I was sticking to my decision to go home. "I'm sorry. Happy New Year Katy, Sarz. Will you tell the others I wished them happy New Year? Thanks. I wished Frank 'Happy New Year' on my way out of the pub.
I managed to get a taxi back to Lee's flat, after coming in, I went for a bath. I wasn't long in the bath when I heard someone coming in. Unfortunately, it was Dunk, he had got the key off Lee to the flat since he heard I had went home and decided to come after me to talk. He came into the bathroom, I started crying again and so did he. I had never seen him cry until now. "Cat, you are keeping the baby, are ya?" "Ya, I am. I wouldn't get rid of it, unless you want nothing to do with the baby" "Of course, I want the baby and I would never let you get rid of 'our' child" "but that doesn't we are getting back together again" "I understand. How far are you gone?" "I'm almost 2 months gone; I'm going for a scan at the hospital 2moz" "Do you want me to come to the hospital?" "If you want to, I'm not stopping you" "I want to" "Then that's sorted and could you leave the room?" "Yea, sure." He left and I got dressed. As I made my way to the sitting room, Dunk had made some tea on the coffee table; the telly was on by him too. The countdown was only a couple minutes away, I went out to the balcony to watch the firework display.
~*~ Back to the others at the pub, Katy and Sarz were getting ready to ring in the New Year with their boyfriends. The clock struck midnight!! The two couples jumped around the place and kissed passionately. You could see the atmosphere was getting hot between the two couples! ~*~
Dunk joined me then, the next thing it was midnight and the fireworks display lit up the sky. It was a start of another new year; suddenly Dunk placed his hand on my stomach. The bump wasn't showing too much though, I felt weird with Dunk touching it. He whispered "Happy New Year, Catherine" "You too, Duncan" with tears welling up in my eyes. "Please don't cry, I promise you one thing, I be there for you and the baby no matter where or what" "I know you will. Actually, I think you better let your mom know before she finds out from somewhere else" "You right" as he went off to phone his mom. Then my phone rang, it was Kian wishing me Happy New Year and well, I told him my news. He was surprised but was happy for me as long as Dunk is there for the baby. Then I thought of my family, I have to tell them the news before they find out in the papers. So I rang them in the middle of the night and wished my mom happy new year and then gave her the news. She was shocked but as I was still young, she had already known about Dunk and I had split up but she was delighted for me. After the phone call, I went back to Dunk; he had just ended the call to his mom Fiona. "Well, how did she take it?" "She took it well, she was delighted to hear the good news" "Same with my mom too but a little surprised" "Well, the fans won't take the news very well once they find out about it especially you are single again" "They just have to get used to it, they can't control our lives." We talked and talked for a while, it was like when we first got together as a couple but there's no way I'm giving him a second chance! I was getting sleep that I fell asleep on the couch.
