Chapter 90
CHAPTER 89

When the song's finished I go back to Lee. I don't want Dunk to know that I heard the song, I wouldn't know what to say to him.
"Hey Iris!" Sy and Ant greet me when I enter their room. I greet them both with a kiss on their cheeks.
"You can take a rest in the next room honey. I'll tell you when we're finished," Lee says and takes me to another room. I sit down on the couch. I'm still lost for words, Dunk's voice is still singing in my head. Lee kneels down in front of me and looks deep into my eyes.
"I won't tell him you heard it," he smiles and gives me a kiss on my nose. "Try to get some sleep, you can use it and you deserve it babe," he whispers while giving me a hug.

I wake up and see two grinning faces above me. It's Lee and Ant.
"Wake up lady," Ant smiles.
"You were snoring," Lee grins.
"But in a really cute way," Ant laughs. They give me a hand and I get up from the couch.
"We're gonna have dinner at Lee's place," Ant says and leads me to the door.
"Where's Dunk?" I ask when I see that the studios are empty.
"Dunk and Sy went ahead, they'd do shopping first," Lee smiles. "I bet they're almost done with cooking too."
"Did they leave that long ago?" I ask surprised.
"Yeah. But we stayed here. You were finally asleep, so we didn't want to wake you up," Lee smiles.
"So they went ahead. Dunk figured that they needed to do some more shopping for dinner because you're bringing two extra people," Ant smiles.
"Does he? Well, I might be bringing them, but he what should I call it invited them," I say cheeky.
"Haha that's a good one," they both burst out laughing.

"Hi Iris," Dunk greets me and gives me a quick kiss on my cheek before he goes back to cooking.
"Sit down," Lee points at the couch and he gives me a drink.
"Dinner will be ready soon," Dunk shouts from the kitchen.
"Is something going on?" I ask wondering.
"No. Why?" Lee raises his eyebrows.
"I have to rest, sit down, you get me a drink, dinner's ready so early" I sum up.
"Oh!" Lee starts to smile. "Since you told us that it's not a big difference that you're having twins now, and since we don't believe that we've been doing some reading on getting twins and stuff like that!"
I start to laugh.
"You need extra rest, no stress, eat enough. You didn't tell us that!" Lee says a bit offended.
"Who's us?" I ask smiling.
"Dunk and I," he answers proud.
"Dunk where's that book that you bought?" he shouts at the kitchen. Dunk comes in and hands me a book. Dunk and Lee sit down on either side of me.
"Here's all about the pregnancy, especially twins," Lee shows me some pages.
"I'll give Sy a hand in the kitchen," Ant, who had been watching us smiling all the time, says and leaves us. Dunk turns some pages.
"Oh and here's about the delivery, it's very detailed," he points at some pictures. I quickly turn away my head. I don't wanna see it!
"You can have a water-birth, or" Dunk says, but I cut him off.
"I know. I know everything that's in this book, and even more I guess," I say and close the book. Dunk gives me a searching look. I think he noticed it
"Yes you know it all, but we don't. You don't tell us anything, but we want to be involved, you know," Lee pouts.
"I'm sorry," I say looking at Lee, avoiding Dunk's eyes.
"Mum brought a new catalogue with furniture especially for twins," Dunk says and hands me a really big book.
"Did you see it already?" I ask him when he sits down on a chair opposite me.
I lie down on the couch, flipping through the pages. Lee's playing with the cd-player, trying loads of different cd's.
I'm singing to most of the songs that are playing.

You can run, you can hide
But you can't escape my love
So, if you go
You should know
It's hard to just forget the past
So fast
It was good
It was bad but it was real
And that's all you have
In the end our love matters

"Hey Dunk, look at this double cot! It's so cute! You can swing both beds separately," I point out. He bends over to me. "Yeah, looks good! If one of the babies is asleep, you can swing the other one," he smiles really cute at me.

Would you dance, if I asked you to dance?
Would you run, and never look back?
Would you cry, if you saw me crying?
And would you save my soul, tonight?

Would you tremble, if I touched your lips?
Would you laugh? Oh please tell me this.
Now would you die, for the one you love?
Hold me in your arms, tonight.

I can be your hero, baby.
I can kiss away the pain.
I will stand by you forever.
You can take my breath away.

"Would you put the cots on the left side of the room, or on the right?" I ask Dunk.
"Don't know yet. What would you do?" he asks me in return. I shrug my shoulders that I don't know it either.

I walk around trying to understand
Where we went wrong and I can't pretend
It wasn't me, it wasn't you
But I'm convinced we gave up too soon

Maybe youll say you still want me
Maybe youll say that you don't
Maybe we said it was over
Baby I can't let you go

Nothing left to lose after losing you
There's nothing I can't take
When I run to you, when I come for you
Don't tell me I'm too late

Almost without knowing it I'm still singing the songs while flipping through the pages. I look at Dunk and Lee, they don't even seem to notice that I was singing, they're still doing their own stuff. There's something about the songs that are playing though

For whatever reason
I feel like I've been wantin' you all my life
You don't understand
I'm so glad we're at the same place at the same time
heh-It's over now.

Dunk seems to be really interested in his magazine, his head is bent low. He doesn't even notice that I'm watching him

What would it take for you to just leave with me?(Uh uh)
Not trying to sound conceited but me and you were meant to be (yeah yeah)
You're a sexy guy, (uh) I'm a nice girl. (don't you know?)

Boys
Sometimes a girl just needs one (you know I need you)
Boys
To love her and to hold (I just want you to touch me)
Boys
And When a girl is with one (mm-mmm)
Boys
Then she's in control (yeah)

"Iris will you come with me for a minute please?" Lee asks me. He scared me! I was so busy watching Dunk that I didn't notice Lee standing up.
"Sure," I nod and he helps me up from the couch. Dunk gives us a quick look and than looks away again. Lee takes me to another room and closes the door behind him. I sit down and he sits down close to me.
"We need to talk," he says very serious and takes my hands.
