Chapter 86
CHAPTER 85

"We've got to get walking, or I'll get really cold," I say.
"Are you sure you don't wanna go home? Aren't you getting too tired?" Lee asks worried. I start to laugh.
"You have no idea how much I walk at the hospital every day. It's so huge they even have special bikes for in the hospital!"
"Okay, I was just checking," he laughs and we get walking.
Lee's phone starts to ring and he answers it. It's Ant, he's asking if we have plans for the afternoon.
"He can meet us here in the park," I suggest to Lee, who suggests it to Ant. We agree to meet in an hour, so he has time to feed and wrap up Emily first.
Lee and I take a long long walk, until we're back at the place where we'll meet Ant. Lee sits down on a bench and point that I should sit down next to him.
"It's too cold to sit down," I shake my head.
"Than I'll keep you warm," he grins and pulls my hand. He makes me sit down on his lap, and wraps his arms around me.
Lee's phone rings again. It's Sy, he's bored because Tia's with her sister. He's also coming to the park.
"You'd better call Dunk too," I laugh. Lee starts to laugh and nods. Of course Dunk will come too. Lee and I keep on chatting a bit until the others are coming. I rest my head on his shoulder.
"Are you tired honey?" he softly asks.
"No. you're just so nice and soft to lay my head on," I smile.
"Was that a compliment or are you teasing me?" he asks suspicious.
"Awww what a cute couple," we hear Sy behind us. We turn around and see Ant and Sy grinning badly. Lee and I both poke out our tongue. I jump up from Lee's lap.
"Hey little girl," I smile at Emily who's looking at us all with big eyes.
"She's not in a good mood, she's been whining all morning," Ant warns me. I lift her up and give her a kiss. She immediately starts to smile and makes funny baby-noises.
"Mother instincts are kicking in," Sy laughs.
"Nice! Haven't seen her for a couple of weeks, and who does she greet first?" Ant shakes his head smiling.
"Your cute girl," I grin at him. I give Ant and Sy a kiss on their cheeks and than sit down with Emily on my lap.
A couple of minutes later Dunk arrives.
"Hi," he greets us all and gives me a kiss on my cheek.
"Hey lady," he says in a very cute way and takes Emily from me. He's turning her around in the air which makes her laugh.
"Somebody was talking about mother instincts, but" Ant looks at Dunk meaningful. We all start to laugh but Dunk doesn't even notice that we're talking about him.
"I can use a hot drink," I shiver.
"Aw your hands are all cold," Lee says and starts to rub them.
"Let's go," Ant says.
"Come on Dunk," Lee says loudly. Dunk doesn't hear it, he's busy talking to Emily.
"Dunk," I say and he turns to look at me.
"Haha now we know who he listens to," Sy grins. In a restaurant we all have a hot chocolate.
After that we go to Ant's house together. I walk next to Dunk.
"Have you been to church this morning?" I ask him.
"No. Mum said she would go this evening instead of the morning, so I didn't go either," he shakes his head.
"Are you going with her this evening?" I ask.
"Why? You wanna go?" he asks. I nod.
"No problem, I'll go with you," he smiles. The rest of the afternoon we stay at Ant's place, so Emily can take a nap in her own bad. After dinner Dunk and I go to church.
When they read from The Bible I get all emotional suddenly.
'Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails'
I take Dunk's hand and push back my tears. We're not looking at eachother, but I know he's smiling.
An hour later we go outside.
"Let's have a drink somewhere. I need to talk to you before we go back to the guys," I say and look into his blue eyes.

"We have to discuss some things about our baby," I start after we sat down and ordered the drinks. "But first I want to say something else."
He nods. "Go on."
"I don't mean to offend you and I hope you won't be offended, but there's some things I have to say. I'm happy. The pregnancy is going great, Lee and I are best friends again, I love the work at the hospital, every time I come to London I'm being pampered by everybody, I'm finishing my study soon and I know that you will be there for the baby when it's born. I have every reason to be happy. But you don't seem to be happy. This morning I saw the video of 'Signed, sealed, delivered' and it struck me how happy and young you all looked. I haven't seen you that happy for months! Am I the one who made you this unhappy?" I softly ask.
"I'm not unhappy! It makes me happy to know that you're carrying our baby, to see it grow," he answers.
"But I haven't seen you really happy since since we broke up. I've forgiven your mistake long ago, now forgive yourself! Forget it, go on with your life. Go clubbing with Lee, meet other people. Don't stay at home every weekend. And don't ever worry about me, I'll let you know when I need your help. Have fun, find back the happy Duncan."
He keeps quiet for many minutes. I get up to go to the toilet. When I get past Dunk I softly stroke his hair. I feel relieved that I said it to him. He deserves to be happy! And I can't do more about it, can I?
