Chapter 82
CHAPTER 81

The doorbell rings and immediately after it I hear a key in the lock.
"That's your mum. I forgot to tell, she called to ask if she could come earlier," I say. It's typically Fiona: she has the keys, but she always rings the bell first to announce that she's coming in.
"We're in here!" Dunk shouts and she enters the living room.
"Hi mum," he says and they kiss.
"Hi," I smile and try to get up from the couch. Dunk quickly gets the plate from me and Fiona pulls my arm to help me get up.
"How are you doing?" she asks me and kisses my cheek.
"I'm fine, thanks," I smile and kiss her back.
"And how is my grandchild doing?"
"Great!" I show her my bump.
"Wow! I can't believe you're only at 19 weeks!" she says surprised.
"I know, it's quite big," I grin.
"Let me take your coat. Sit down," Dunk says to his mum. She gives him her coat and he leaves. I sit back on the couch and point that she can sit next to me.
"Wasn't Duncan sitting there?" she asks me. I shake my head and point at the chair. She gives me a surprised look but than sits down next to me.
Dunk returns and we chat a little while I finish my breakfast.
"Do you wanna feel the baby kicking?" I ask Fiona when I feel it moving.
"Yeah!" she says enthusiastic. I lift up my sweater and put her hand where the baby's kicking.
"I haven't felt that for a long time!" she grins happily at me. "Dunk, come over here," she beckons him.
"Nah, I've felt it before," he shakes his head after giving me a quick look. She gives him a searching look.
"I'll get the books for the baby-room," I say and take them out of the closet.
"Let's sit here, that's easier," I point at the table. She sits down next to me and I open the books.
"There's so much cool stuff in here!" I grin at her and show some things.
"Is this the crib you were talking about?" she turns around and beckons Dunk to come and have a look. He bends over me to see it. Than he changes his mind and quickly sits down next to his mum.
"Yes, that's the one," he nods.

"Right, I'm gonna do some grocery shopping," he says after a couple of minutes and gets up from his chair. I see he hesitates a few seconds, looking at me. He turns away.
"Wait a sec, I ate the last of your cheese, and there was something else" I say and we go to the kitchen together. "Oh, right. Can you get some tomatoes please?"
"Sure," he nods and wants to walk away.
"Dunk, you can give me a kiss on my cheek when you leave," I grin. I know that's what he was thinking about in the living room. He always gives me a kiss before he leaves, even if it's only 10 minutes. He gives me a sheepish grin and a kiss.
When he's left I go back to Fiona.
"What's wrong with hm?" she frowns.
"Erm that's my fault," I say, blushing slightly.
"You didn't have a fight, did you?" she asks.
"No, don't worry. It's the pregnancy. I just told him something," I say.
"Oww. You wanna talk about it?"
"Erm I can't even talk about it with my mum. And I also see you kind of like my mum, even though Dunk and I aren't together," I say blushing.
"I'm happy to hear that," she smiles and gives me a hug. "And I think I know what your problem is, seeing Duncan's behavior," she grins. "Just too bad it has to happen to you while you're single," she says cheekily. Now I'm blushing heavily.
"It's okay, I won't tell anybody that I know," she smiles.
"Thanks," I nod and we're silent for a couple of minutes. Should I tell her what I worry about?
"There's something else, isn't it?" she asks.
"Yes."
"You wanna tell me?" Why not it's what mothers are for!
"Yeah. There's something else about the pregnancy, and it worries me," I slowly start. She nods encouraging.
"My belly, it's growing too fast! I've got this schedule of how much it should grow, and how much weight I should have gained. But I'm much bigger and heavier than I should be! And I'm sure I'm not at more weeks" I tell her.
"It's only your bump that grows, right? You look the same to me," she gives me a searching look.
"Yeah, I think so. I think it grows so fast because I eat so incredibly much. But only bread, and vegetables and stuff like that. And if I eat too much, I would grow, but not the baby, right?" I ask.
"Yeah, that's what they always say. The baby only takes from you what it needs. No matter how much you eat. I think you shouldnt look at the schedules too much. Not everybody is the same."
"Yeah, maybe" I nod, but not convinced.
"Go to your gynecologist if you worry about it. Stress you've got enough already, and it's not healthy," she smiles.
"Yeah I think I'll do that. Should I tell Dunk?" I wonder.
"That's up to you."
"Okay, thanks! I just needed to talk about it," I say a bit relieved.
"You're welcome honey!"

We hear Dunk coming back with loads of bags.
"You can say much about him, but he does have good time," I grin to Fiona when we help Dunk to bring the bags to the kitchen.
"Have you 2 been gossiping about me?" Dunk gives us a suspicious look.
"Of course," I grin.
"Oh nice! I'll leave you 2 alone again," he shakes his head.
"No, no, we're finished," I laugh.
"We were just about to go back to the decorating, so you're right in time," Fiona smiles.
"Let's go upstairs to the baby-room to show her where we wanted what," I suggest.
"I'll take the books," he nods smiling.
'I bet he's looking at my @ss,' it flashes through my mind when he walks just behind me up the stairs. I turn my head to look at him. He starts to blush when he sees it. He was! I feel hot for him again and start to blush too.
When we join Fiona upstairs she notices it and winks at me. We both start to grin.
"What's going on here?" Dunk says curious.
"Nothing," Fiona and I say with Angel faces.
"Jee, you 2 seem like giggling school girls!" he calls out.
"Thanks," Fiona laughs and gives Dunk a kiss on his cheek.
The next couple of hours we spend making plans for the baby-room. Fiona does have some good ideas indeed, about what we should and shouldn't do. At the end of the afternoon she leaves, because she has dinner plans.

"You look tired, why don't you get some sleep before dinner?" Dunk says to me.
"Yeah, maybe that's a good idea," I nod.
"Wooowww you must be really tired! You don't even protest to me," he calls out.
"No, I'm not that tired. I'm just learning not to protest to everything you say. Because sometimes what you say is quite reasonable or sensible," I grin.
"Sometimes? Well, it's a start," he grins.
"Oh, I promised Lee to go over to his place this evening," I remember.
"Okay, you go to sleep. I'll call him, see where he wants to have dinner," Dunk smiles.
"Thanks," I smile back and go to bed. To my surprise I fall asleep after a couple of minutes.
