That evening
I'm lying at the couch next to Dunk. We're watching tv and chatting a little bit. I finally don't feel so tense around Dunk anymore. We can talk about almost everything, and he's not trying so hard to get ma back anymore. He's just being sincere and nice.
The doorbell rings.
"I bet that's Lee," I say.
"How do you know?" Dunk asks surprised.
"You called him, didn't you? Because if you didn't, he would have called hours ago to ask where I am," I grin.
"Good point," Dunk grins and goes to open the door.
It's Lee indeed. "Hi honey," he smiles and bends over to kiss my cheek.
"Hi," I smile and kiss him back.
"Are you okay?" he asks and sits down a bit uncomfortable.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Listen� can I talk to you in private for a minute?" he asks me.
"Sure," I nod and sit upright to get up from the couch.
"Stay here," Dunk says quickly and leaves the room.
Lee sits down next to me. "I hear what happened at the shop today. Are you really okay now?" he asks concerned.
"Yeah, I'm just having some extremely annoying mood swings," I smile.
"It really was a coincidence that Dunk called you at the right time," he says, closely watching my reaction.
"Maybe. If he wouldn't have called, I would have called you! That's what you wanted to know, isn't it?" I smile. He starts to smile, but looks embarrassed at the same time.
"Don't answer that," I grin. He smiles at me and we give eachother a big hug.
"You silly girl. You didn't expect to need bigger pants now the baby's growing?" he smiles very cute at me.
"Well, I hadn't thought about it, because I don't see it growing," I say, feeling silly.
"You don't see it? Take a look in the mirror!" he laughs.
"Will do that later this evening," I grin, and softly slap his cheek for laughing at me.
"Anyway, I did realize you need bigger clothes, so I bought you something," he smiles and gives me a little bag.
"Ooohhh, what is it?" I call out curious.
"Well, since you always wear that tight nightdress when you stay over at my place� and since silk doesn't stretch an inch� I thought you can use a bigger one soon," he says and opens the bag.
"OMG! It's beautiful! Even if it's meant for a big belly," I call out.
It's a pink satin nightdress, which can fold around your belly.
"Thanks," I give him a hug and a big kiss on his cheek.
"I thought I'd give you something for yourself before everyone starts to give you presents for your baby," he smiles.
"I'm really sorry we all had to work today, while you came to see us," he suddenly says.
"I came to see you. And I am with you now, so it's okay," I smile. "I think I'll have to try this on tonight," I say holding up the nightdress. He gives me a confused look.
"I'm going home with you," I smile. He gets a big big smile on his face instantly.
"Dunk! Look what Lee gave me!" I call at Dunk. He comes back from the kitchen. I show the nightdress to him.
"Something for the big mama," I joke.
"Aww, you'll never be big, just your belly," Dunk smiles.
"Thanks. I'm going home with Lee now," I say.
"You're not staying here?" he asks disappointed. I can see in his eyes he's jealous, but he tries to hide it. I nod and get up from the couch.
I give him a hug and whisper in his ear: "Thanks for today."
He kisses me on my cheek. "You're welcome."
"See you tomorrow?" I ask and kiss him back. He nods.
"See you mate," Lee says and takes me home.
"If you don't mind, I'm going to bed," I say.
"Sure, go ahead," he smiles at me, but he's a bit disappointed though.
"We can talk in bed if you join me," I turn around at him.
"Okay, I'll follow you in a minute," he says sweetly, so I go upstairs to the bedroom. When I walk past the mirror, I remember what Lee said. I look at myself in the mirror, but I don't see my belly bigger than normal. I turn a bit, so I see myself from the side. I still don't see much difference.
"You started wearing bigger shirts, that's why you don't see it," I suddenly hear Lee behind me.
"Jeez!! I didn't hear you coming!" I call out.
"I was spying on you," he grins cheekily.
I turn back at the mirror. Lee stands right behind me, and puts his arms around my waist. I can see us both in the mirror, from the side. I lean back at him.
"Look," he softly says and lifts up my shirt. I can see a little bump on my naked belly indeed. Lee puts his warm hands on my belly and I smile happily at him through the mirror.
I go to the bathroom to wash and brush my teeth and put on my new nightdress. When I get back in the bedroom I have to look in the mirror again. I fold it over my little bump and put my hands on it.
"You like it?" Lee asks appearing behind me. I nod and he puts his hands on my waist. I see that he's already changed, wearing only his boxers. I rest my cheek against his cheek for a moment.
"Thanks," I say turning around a little at him and give him a small kiss on the lips. I take his hand and in the bed I cuddle up against him. We talk for a while until I fall asleep, with 4 hands on my growing belly�
