I go on talking to Alex on the phone.
"The next morning he already called me. I was really surprised, because� Well, you know how most guys are�"
I can hear Lee grinning, so I open my eyes.
"Sorry," he grins at me. I stick out my tongue at him.
"He told me he wanted to meet me in the weekend, if that was okay with me. Of course I said yes, so he told me he could come back to the Netherlands on Friday for me. I felt so honored that he wanted to travel so far for just a date with me. He called me again on Monday evening. It gave me a big shock when I saw his phone number on my phone. I thought he wanted to cancel the date, so I hardly dared to pick up the phone. But that's not why he called. He just wanted to chat with me, see if I needed to be cheered up again. We talked for about an hour, about everything and nothing. Wednesday evening he called again. We talked, laughed, and he repeated like a thousand times what time and where we would meet. It was so cute. I felt like I was falling in love with him head over heels. I told myself all the time to calm down, and not to be nervous. How could I fall in love with someone that I only met once, and talked to on the phone three times? But my heart told me that he was falling for me too. Of course I didn't allow my heart to speak, but only my mind, you know what I'm like. So Friday eventually came. I told myself he wouldn't show up, or it wouldn't be fun at all, or he wouldn't like me if he got to know me better. I expected everything to go wrong, so when I arrived at the place, I wasn't even nervous anymore."
I hear Alex grinning this time.
"Hey, don't laugh at me. You know how I am."
"I know. But what girl would NOT be nervous when she has a date with Duncan James?" she laughs.
"Yeah, yeah, I know I'm strange," I laugh.
"Come on, tell me what happened!" she says inpatient.
"I waited a long time, because of course I was way too early, and his flight was delayed. He texted me twice to let me know what time he'd arrive. And than finally I saw him. I felt sooo weird, I had never felt like that before. My heart was beating so fast, I felt light-headed, and I had a strange feeling in my belly. 'Hi Iris,' he smiled nervous. 'Hi Duncan,' I said back. He hugged me and gave me three kisses. I felt better immediately, only my belly kept feeling weird. Halfway through the evening I finally discovered that it were butterflies in my belly. I was indeed falling in love head over heels. I stopped my mind from speaking, and let my heart speak. Obviously Dunk was falling in love with me too. He confessed to me that he had booked a hotel room until Sunday, in case I wanted another date with him on Saturday evening. I was pleasantly surprised, and asked him what he'd do all Saturday. Than he told me he had brought Lee with him, to keep him company. I laughed really hard when he told that. He had left Lee at the airport with all the luggage."
Lee softly hits me on the head for laughing about it. I smile sweetly at him and he shakes his head smiling.
"Well, when I heard about that I offered Dunk to show him and Lee my city the next day. Dunk was still thinking a little bit about poor Lee, so he called him first before he said yes. Anyway, we had a great time on our first date. When I had to leave, he gave me a quick kiss on my lips. I went home with the biggest grin ever. When I got home, I got a text message from him, asking if I reached home safely. It was so sweet of him! The next day I met him again, and I met Lee for the first time. He's a really funny, sweet guy. And he's really crazy, but I forgive him that."
I give Lee a cheeky grin, he sticks out his tongue at me.
"We had a fun day. In the evening I had another date with Dunk. He had locked Lee in the hotel room or something," I laugh. "Before the end of the evening he confessed to me he had fallen in love with me, and we kissed. I showed him where I live, and the rest of the evening we spent kissing on my couch. The next day I waved them goodbye at the airport, after promising Dunk that I would come to London the next Friday. So from than on I was officially his girlfriend, and we spent almost every weekend in London."
"OMG! I can't believe it! I missed the biggest love story ever! So you've met all the Blue guys a lot of times? That's why you were laughing so hard!" she calls out.
"Yeah, I met them all. Ant and Sy are good friends, and so is Tia, Sy's girlfriend. And Lee's my best friend." I softly squeeze Lee's hand and smile at him.
"So� so it's Lee Ryan who's with you right now!" she screams. "I didn't realize that earlier," she laughs. "Yes, Lee's with me right now. And he's stroking my hair, without knowing it," I grin. Lee quickly withdraws his hand. I burst out laughing. I sit upright next to him and give him a kiss on his cheek. He gives me a kiss back and puts his arm around me.
"But? You're not with Dunk right now, so it's not the end of your story, right?" Alex asks.
"No. Dunk and I were in love the whole time, we were doing great. But three weeks ago I couldn't see him in the weekend, because Nicky and Beatrice were visiting me. We had a great time� But Dunk got really drunk at a party and cheated on me. He told me when I went to him the next weekend. So we broke up�"
"OMG! I'm so sorry honey! I'm glad I'm coming back, so I can comfort you," she says shocked.
"That's sweet of you, but I'm okay."
"Really? Ow right, Lee's already with you."
"Yes�" I say slowly.
"OMG! Iris, I can hear in your voice there's more! Have you fallen in love again?"
"Yes�" I say slowly again.
"You're kidding! Lee? Does he know?"
"No, he doesn't know."
"And is he�? Ow wait, he's listening to every word you say."
"Yes." I start to blush heavily.
"Is he in love with you too?"
"Yes."
"OMG! Why didn't you tell him yet? Well, doesn't matter right now. Gosh I really need to talk with you tomorrow," she laughs.
"Hehe, yeah, we need to talk," I grin.
"OMG! I still can't believe it!" she calls out again.
"You'd better start believing. And now I want to hear everything you did!"
She tells a long time about the trip through the jungle of Africa. When she told the most important things, we say goodbye and hang up, because she also has to call mum and dad and of course Nicky. I didn't tell anything about her and Spike on purpose. I want Nicky to tell it herself, so I don't ruin the surprise.
The rest of the day Lee and I spend chilling out and talking about Alex. We go to the supermarket and cook dinner together. In the evening we watch some tv, and go to bed early, because we didn't sleep very long last night.
