CHAPTER 15

We go for a walk to the park. It's really nice weather, not as hot as yesterday. Beatrice and I talk and talk and talk. It's like we've known eachother for years. She likes the same things as me: same music, same books, same animals. She's a big Backstreet Boys fan, like me, she likes pop and rock music, just like me.

"Let's go back home," I suggest after a couple of hours.
"Hmm. Okay," she answers, not very enthusiastically.
"Just ignore Lee if he's not nice. But I think he'll be okay, he was just very shocked when he saw you. Oh, and I have some music that you hve to hear," I get a great idea.
"Really? What music?" she asks happy again.
"It's from Di-rect, a dutch rockband. They're four guys, 19 to 23 years old," I tell.
"That's pretty young for a rockband."
"Yeah, but they're great. And also good-looking," I grin.

"You've been gone for a long time," is the first thing Ant says when we return.
"We took good care of her," I frown.
"Yeah, I know," he says, smiling.
"We held her in the shadow. She's been sleeping like a rose," I say and take Emilie out of the pram. I want to give her to Ant, but his phone rings.
Emilie wakes up and starts to cry. Ant picks up his phone.
"Here, I've got a little lady for you," I grin at Lee and give Emilie to him. Dunk looks a bit disappointed that I didn't give Emilie to him. I put my arms around his neck and give him a kiss. He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses me back.
"Your eyes are shining," he smiles.
"I had a great time with Beatrice. She's so much like me," I smile.
"There's one big difference between the two of you," Simon grins.
"What?" I ask.
"You wouldn't have spent the night with Lee," he laughs naughty.
"Oh, I would have, if I didn't have a boyfriend," I grin.
Lee pretends like he didn't hear anything, he's busy with taking off Emilie's jacket. But I can see that he's blushing. Dunk also sees it and starts laughing. I give him a quick kiss.
"Come on," I say to Beatrice and we go to the other side of the room, where I keep my cd's. "Look at Lee," I whisper to her. He's playing with Emilie, it looks very cute.
"He's a sweet guy," she smiles. I nod. I let her listen to some Di-rect songs, she really loves them! She keeps listening to some of them over and over again. I see Lee looking at us secretly now and than. Beatrice is listening very intense to a song, her eyes closed.
"Very cute," I mouth at Lee and point at Beatrice. He smiles at me. Beatrice's phone rings. I think it's her brother.

"He's coming here in 30 minutes," she tells me when she hangs up the phone.
"Oh," I say disappointed. "We have to stay in touch."
"Yeah, I'd love that," she says happy. We exchange addresses and email addresses.
"I'll send you the cd's of Di-rect," I promise her.
"That would be great. Do you maybe also have pictures of them?"
"Sure. Hey, you have to come and visit me in the Netherlands. I'll take you to a concert of Di-rect," I suggest.
"That would be sooo cool. Yeah, I'll visit you," she grins.
We go and sit with the guys.
"You made another Di-rect fan?" Dunk asks me. I nod grinning.
"Who will be your next victim? First Nicky," he says.
"Than Maryan," Lee says.
"And now Beatrice," Dunk says.
"I don't know who'll be next. You guys maybe?" I grin.
"Di-rect is okay, but not if you have to listen to them all day long, every day," Lee sighs.
"Maryan is his little sister," I explain to Beatrice.
"She's 17, and can be pretty annoying," Lee grins.
"That runs in the family," I grin at him. "No, she's great. She loves Di-rect, Backstreet Boys, Harry Potter and Friends. Just like me, you, and Nicky. Oh yeah, and we all think Blue is okay," I grin at the guys.
"Yeah, they're great supporters," Lee says sarcastically.
"Hey! She's always supported you!" I call out.
"Yeah, you're right. I was just joking," Lee laughs. I'm glad he has his good mood back.
"Dunk, where's your digital camera? I really want to have a pic of Beatrice and me," I ask Duncan.
"Yeah, that's a great idea," she smiles at me.
"I think it's at the second shelf in the white closet upstairs," Dunk says to me. "I'll check."
"No, it's okay, I'll get it," I say and stand up. Now Lee's sitting next to Beatrice.
'I hope they'll stay there, than I can take a pic of them,' I grin to myself. I go upstairs and find the camera where Dunk said it would be. I hurry downstairs, we don't have much time left before Beatrice's brother comes.
I quietly open the door. They're still next to eachother, they're all talking and having fun. I secretly take a pic of them, they all just fit in one pic.
Simon sees me: "Give it to me, I'll take a pic of you." I sit down between Lee and Beatrice again. There are some pics taken, also of me, Beatrice and Dunk.
"Time to say goodbye," I sigh.
"Yeah," she says with a sad face.
"Take your chance, kiss them all goodbye," I whisper in her ear. She grins, and indeed gives them all two kisses on the cheek, Lee also. I'm very glad Lee acts normal now.
After some last goodbyes, I go to the hallway with her, Dunk also comes with us. We're just in time, the doorbell rings. It's indeed her brother. I give her a big hug.
"We'll keep in touch. Take care."
"They're really good friends. They haven't stopped talking for one minute," I hear Dunk saying to her brother.
"Talk to you soon," I say to Beatrice when she leaves with her brother.
"Definitely," she shouts back at me.
