1) Yesterday Went Too Soon

3) Tomorrow Shine
"High" gave us a top end of summer ballad in 1997, while "Yesterday Went Too Soon" gave us an excellent during-the-summertime ballad in 1999. This track oozes quality, with it's spine-tingleing guitar intro and feelgood tune, and emotional lyrics about broken releationships to boot this is my second fave single from the YWTS era, with "Insomnia" winning out.

"Getting To Know You Well" is a experimental track, which is by no means heavy, or by means a ballad- more of a middle of the road track which grows on every listen. "Tomorrow Shine" is a ballad which runs for 5 minuites, which also includes neat guitar effects and neat drumming by Jon. The song is very emotional and makes me think back to Summer 1999 whenever I hear it.

"Rubberband" is the best of the bunch of these b-sides, and was orignially going to be on the "Yesterday Went Too Soon" album. It's a top uptempo track, with a nice jumpy rhythm, while "Slider" is good but nowhere as good as any other song in this collection. "Oxidize" is a top tune which sends Feeder to another dimension, and should have never been hidden away on a cassette single.
PAPERFACES (RELEASED 8TH NOVEMBER 1999)
CD2

1) Paperfaces
2) Crashmat
3) You're My Evergreen(radio 1 session)
MC

1) Paperfaces
2) Woohey
3) Waiting For Changes (radio 1 session)
CD1

1) Paperfaces
2) Woohey
3) Tinseltown (radio 1 session)
"Paperfaces" is a brilliant track, that is a slow-paced one and so is quite unusual for a single release, as the majority of releases from one album are mainly heavy, but this is a top-notch feelgood effort.

Woohey, is a Who-soundlike song, and shows in the title as well- because that's who it sounds like and is another brillaint b-side. "Crashmat" is the best of this lot, and is a sort of fun and heavy tune which jumps along at a heavy rocking speed, with a mosh-pit vibe to it.

The live versions of "You're My Evergreen", "Tinseltown" and "Waiting For Changes" are all excellent renditions of those tracks from the "Yesterday Went Too Soon" album, and add a bit more to them. The only concern is that the "Paperfaces" MC is rather hard to find, and I really want the Radio 1 Wales version of "Waiting For Changes" on it's released cassette.

All in all, a brilliant package that was ignored wrongly by the radio stations.
BUCK ROGERS (RELEASED 8TH JANUARY 2001)

1) Buck Rogers
2) We Are The Electronic
3) 21st Century Meltdown
4) Buck Rogers (video)
7" (Orange)

1) Buck Rogers
2) Sex Type Drug
CD1

1) Buck Rogers
2) Purple
3) Heads
Don't tell me you haven't heard this!!!. It's the one that goes "PLAYER!, PLAYER!, PLAYER!", a top rocking tune that I love to bits, everyone I know has heard this and loves it, and made #5 on the charts inlcluding their first ever Radio 1 A-listed single. "Purple" is a pretty good upbeat song with driving instrumentals, but only good enough for a b-side. "Heads" is another b-side quality track, and is an acoustic song and is pretty haunting with it's lyrics of "get inside my head" and it's neat sound. "We Are The Electronic" is good, but could have been better if Grant's vocals were not distorted, while "21st Century Meltdown" is a laid-back Feeder tune, which gets better on each listen, it was going to be on YWTS but was used here 2 years later. A neat single set so far with the 7" providing us with a new song for the first time in the bands history. BR made #35 in Kerrang!'s top 100 singles.

The track is "Sex Type Drug" and sounds very britrock, very uptempo and incredibly ace!. This is in many fans eyes, Feeder's take-on of Blur's "Song 2" and it shows with the "whoo-whoo-whoo" bits!.
