| Feeder @ Glasgow Carling Academy 29th March 2005
"Just A Day?....Why Not Try Two!" So last night rocked right??....Well the best was yet to come!!!!!!............. "Feeder rocked Glasgow on two consecutive nights in March. Ryan Johnstone and Clarke Speirs review the gigs with Ryan's take on the 28th and Clarke's on the 29th..........." FEEDER @ Glasgow Carling Academy 29th March 2005 On the 28th and the 29th of March, Feeder would "Descend" on the best city in the world for gigs, Glasgow. There was no way either night was to be missed!!. The night before was amazing but I've chosen to review the 29th as I feel it was slightly better. The reasons behind my choice will be later known as this review goes on. So after meeting up with my good mate Gav who I had not seen in months, we headed for the Carling Academy. On the way to the venue I watched in amusement as a few guys had ripped off signs promoting "Pushing The Senses" to use as banners inside. Once I got inside it was beginning to fill and we made our way down to the stage (cold pints in hand of course) . Cherryfalls who I was fan of, were the support band for the night. Those guys are great so watch out for them if you don't know them already!! . Grant, Taka, Mark and Dean come out and the place goes daft. Mark looks rather cool with the Feeder Hoodie that I would later decide to purchase after seeing just how cool it looked!. Feeling A Moment kicks things off and everyone sings the "woo woos." That song was made to be belted out at a packed venue whilst everyone sings along. Next its back to Comfort In Sound for the title track, Comfort In Sound. Everyone is now ready for some jumping after being warmed up. They would not be disappointed. Another title track, this time Pushing The Senses. It certainly did push most people's senses especially if you were like me down the front. It was time to calm down again with "Tender," followed by "Turn" and then the epic "Just The Way Im Feeling." Every time I hear that live it gives me goosebumps. What a song!. Next it was "Tumble And Fall" which was met by cheers. This of course was the first single from "Pushing The Senses" and it was time for the newer Feeder fans to join in with us singing along. Grant stops singing for the "Yeah, yeah yeah's" (no Karen O and Co weren't in appearance) and the crowd happily takes over. Grant takes to the keys as "Pain on Pain is next. |
