Double trouble twins Ida Donna and Raina Norma. Aren't they a pack of pint-sized cuteness? Good things come in very small packages -- and twice as nice!!
Mathilda Autumn and Rufus Izik prove that pacifiers make the kid! Mathilda just yelled out to me from her "eBay Orphanage." She knew that the Ranch was the place for her! What can I say about big brother Rufus except red RED RED!! Oh, and Rufus would like to say hi to all the people who made his arrival at the Ranch possible -- Angela, Leah and official adoption counselor Terrin!
Teddy bears or CPKs? Rupert Spencer and Harley Quinn give out a big grrrrr! What are two grizzlies like these doing on the Ranch? Well, you can't have salmon all the time. Sometimes you have to have bbq salmon!
Three stylin' young ladies, Dottie Dee, Anda Drusilla, and Opal Joy. Dottie and Opal like they're 80's "mod" outfits. They feel like they're in with the in-crowd in their cool threads! Anda is more the athletic type, so she's sporting the very latest in velour sweatsuits. All three are planning a Ranch fashion show, just as soon as I get a kid who's good at building things!
Caring big sis Delphine checks up on Arden Evaline and Adria Seraphine. Sometimes with so many kids it's hard to spend enough time with each one. It's good to have kids like Delphine willing to help. Doesn't she look sweet with the two babies? Maybe she'll be a teacher when she grows up.
This big guy deserves a special place all by himself. Now, we don't get too many world travelers down on the Ranch, and this is definitely the first cosmopolitan softie we've seen. Quentin Townshend is all decked out in his liederhosen, brown boots, and jaunty cap with German pins. Ah, the Deutschland! His new daddy can relate, being descended from a proud German line. Yah, yah.
All these kids have been here a while, and were getting upset that I hadn't taken their picture yet. I was just afraid the camera wouldn't do justice to their beautiful growing hair, and big freckles! Leelee Muzette and Veronica Marianne know what it means to tackle tangles. Well, their mom does anyhow. I worked for hours on these 2 girls, trying to get out all the snarls. Little Kimber Floree, on the other hand, has no suck hair problems. She does complain about her freckles, though! (I told her they wouldn't show up in the pictures. Don't tell her if they do.)
These two kids and pup are ready to parTAY! Meet Pippi Marigold and Coretta Corinna, and their little dog Spud! Pippi comes from a long and distinguished line of clowns. Well, maybe not distinguished, or long, but from a bunch of clowns anyway. Coretta was told there was a birthday party at the Ranch. (Not till February, but don't tell. I'd like to keep her.:^)) And Spud, well, what can I say? He's all puff!
Such a big mix of kids, it's a wonder they all stood still long enough to pose for this! Say hello to Opal Joy, (snuck into a picture again, darn her!) Jessica Mavis, Clarissa Kellie, and Audrina Bess. As you can see, Opal is the aspiring model. She wants to be in ALL the pictures! Jessica came to make all the kids laugh. She heard the Ranch was getting so big I needed more clowns to cover all the cabbie kidland! Clarissa is very prowd to be the only kids here with crimpy hair and a totally 80's sense of style. Audrina was just happy to finally have a home of her own.
As soon as I took this new little girl out of her travelling crate (AKA box) my boyfriend said, "Aw, it's a little Des!" So you see I was forced to name her Desiree Angelique, Jr. (Don't know if girl's can be "jr's," but oh well.) Of course, after hearing the news Martin Jr. had to come investigate. He told me, in secret, that he thinks D.J. is the prettiest girl on the Ranch. We'll just keep that between us. ;^)
All these kids came to me from one home, so they wanted to remain together for their picture. Say hello to Alfie Arnold, Vada Bertie, and Mikey Millhouse. You can tell Alfie and Mikey are brothers by their distinctive freckles! (Luckily Mikey hasn't grown hair yet, so I can tell them apart.) Vada is grateful she escaped the "freckle curse" as she calls it. She already has all this red hair to worry about!
Alora and Lizbeth pose with Alora's Muncie the bunny. These are two more of my "foreign babies." Alora is from Spain, and Lizbeth is from South Africa. They've both live in the U.S. for many years now, however, so they won't need any Americana lessons!
I had almost forgotten to photograph little Fiona Polly, she's so small and quiet! When Richard Arthur (the lionhearted) arrived he pointed out that he didn't remember seeing Fiona, or the bunnybee Izzie, on my website. Good thing he has such a good memory! I thought elephants never forget, but I guess this time it's the lion!!
Two new soft squishy kids Bradley and Sibyl Tillie. You can really see what a tiny guy Bradley is next to big sis Sibyl. (Don't tell him I said that, he's very independent!) He's all decked out in his Camp Cabbage outfit, complete with backpack and compass on the vest! Speaking of decked out, Sibyl is not to be outdone by her new brother. She came dressed in her Georgia peach costume. Don't you just want to grab her up in a hug??
I visited a Cali collector recently who has a beautiful collection of soft sculpture kids. I almost had a heart attack when she said she was willing to re-adopt some. Of course I jumped at the chance! This girl is one I've been dreaming about having for a long time. I just adore Alberta Glory's baby bob hairstyle, it reminds me of something from the 1940's. Not to mention her removeable pacifier! Thanks Carolyn!!
Another one of Carolyn's pretty babies, Charlotte Myrna. I believe this hairstyle is the french curls. Whatever it's called, it looks darn cute on Charlotte! I feel so lucky to have adopted the precious girls!!
Alex Nolan, Nora Hattie, and Harley Harmony snuggle up close. Alex was adopted from Joy, my cabbage connection up north. You can look at the rest of Alex's friends for adoption at her site, Jellybean's Cabbage Patch Kids n' More! Nora and Harley are two kids I feel in love with on everyone's favorite adoption site, eBay!! Just look at the faces on those girls!
A group of fine, upstanding young men. Here are my Kenneth Homer, Dennis Emmett and little Rustin "Rusty" Ron. Rustin was my second redhead boy, followed soon after by Dennis. At first Kenneth was jealous of Dennie and Rusty for having such unusual flaming hair, but I reminded him how none of the other boys have blue eyes and brown hair. He felt better after that.
Ellen Pearlie snuggles up with fellow soft face Francesca Winnie. Francesca was adopted by my boyfriend as an incentive to continue with my weight-loss. Unfortunately for her it was slow going, and her new daddy made her hide in a closet for almost a month!! Ellen, on the other hand, got to see the light of day immediately upon her arrival.
Lacey Jayne, Johnnie Mae, Tristan Anke and Emmi Monet make an imposing all-girl team. They don't let any of the boys (or "boyEEEEEEEs" as they refer to them) give them any grief. Lacey is the fearless leader, bearing the brunt of the teasing for having to wear headgear to straighten her lone tooth. She decided to form this girl brigade to defend her honor, and the honor of girls everywhere!
This little guy needs no introduction if you're a member of the Yahoo CPK Soft Face Place club. I've been raving about him since I first saw his picture at Babyland in one of the club photo albums. (Don't tell him I said that, or his head will get even bigger!) It's Ramon Elton, of course, the Babyland Blue Creek boy of my dreams. He arrived just in time to spend Christmas with me, compliments of my boyfriend. :^) He heard he was going to live in California so he slipped into some shorts before he left, but it's been a cold winter so I picked him up a flannel and some jeans. We joke that he looks like a mini Eddie Vedder. Ray, as we call him, loves frogs just like his mommy, but he's allergic to peanut butter so no pb&j for him!
