The Story of My Kids Continued

This little bunnybee went to market, this little bunnybee stayed home. This little bunnybee told Cory Lynn a secret! Wonder what it could be. Perhaps the reason why Cory has that funny tatoo of someone's name on her bum?

Wouldn't you know it, I got a cat lover and a cat within a day of each other? It must be meant to be! I mean, just looking at Bennie's kitty sweatshirt was proof enough this Japanese exchange student was going to be smitten with Kitty Kitty! He insisted on putting this leash on her to go for a walk. She looks rather displeased, as most cats would, but she's putting up with it for her cabbie kid.

Mommy's little helper, Terrin, watches over baby Megan Maybelle. Terrin came from, you guessed it, Terrin's CPKs! I just couldn't resist giving this cabbie her adoption agents name. :^) And as for Megan, well, just take a look at that bow around her head. Whatta cutie, huh?

Grace Sofia and Harold Irving cuddle on the living room couch. Grace us perhaps my best thrift store "adoption" to date. She had on her full outfit, diaper, one shoe, and a giraffe bib! All for the low low adoption fee of $4.99! (If you see any kids with giraffe bibs on auction you'll appreciate that number.) Harold is kind of embarassed because I didn't have any boy's clothes his size when he arrived, so he has to wear some hand-me-downs for now. Grace will cheer him up!

Double trouble cabbie twins Cyril Dalton and Lucie Gisella. These are my 1st pair of boy/girl twins, and certainly not my last! It's funny, because on my plane trip back from Istanbul, Turkey the guy sitting next to me was named Cyril. I thought that would make an excellent cabbie name, but never named any of my boys after him. And suddenly I have a cpk Cyril!!

YeeeeeHAW!!! A posse of kids from the Lonestar State! I got this beautiful bunch from Pat in (you guessed it) Texas. From left to right to front-and-center they are "twins" Patsy Polly and Patrick Conner, and sister Selma Penny. I haven't been able to stop hugging them since they got here!

When fellow collector Angela asked if I collected garden fairies I said no. Well, as of now I'm a big liar, because here's Marla Butterfly! (Although techincally she's a butterfly fairy, not a garden fairy, so I'm safe.) She's a cutie and best of all, she has my birthday! Not bad for a quick run into Wal-Mart.

Hey hey, we're two CUTE KIDS!! We're gonna be monkey-ing around! My newest mop-tops Nova Lee and Russell. Nova came in a spacesuit, but she wanted to try out her earth legs for a while in these overalls. (I'm sure the other astro-kids will try and get her back to the moon ASAP.) Russell was quite a surprise, as I was expecting a kid with looped hair! Can't say the surprise wasn't pleasant!

Chuck gets a head rub from his new sisters Annamae Vivian and Wilomina Beatrice. The girls were fascinated by his soft bald head. I don't think it's so bad either. :^)

Hanna Andreen tries to steal the limelight from aspiring astro-kid Janine Penny. Both these kids come from far-off places. Hanna originally began life in the far reaches of South Africa. Janine would like to point out that even South Africa isn't as far as outer space!

Galloping cabbage leaves, Batman! Who are those skilled horse-cabbies we see? Could it be Redford Butch showing Leeann Jennifer the "ropes" (pardon the western pun) of the Ranch? Leeann rode into the sunset here on her horse Velvet, while Redford just got his great steed Sundance from Auntie Reni!! (This is Redford here. I would like to point out that mommy had a list of names for Sundance from Auntie Reni, but then she forgot them. So I decided to name him after the character in the movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." Just like me! Mommy says it's a good movie, but I can't see it yet 'cause it's rated PG.)

Canadian newcomers Virgie and Aisling Ruthie "hang out" with Nova Lee. It's great to see the "old timers" embrace their new siblings so quickly. And everyone likes to hear stories about the cities, states and countries that they've travelled from!

Dark-haired chums Mashi William and Mackenzie Kyra. Another Kodak moment at the Ranch. Mashi is the second Asian kid to come through the Ranch, but the first to stay. (Walt II is living with my mom now.) Mackenzie also has a "#2" title, being the second toddler to come to the Ranch! They're the not-so-terrible-twosome.

This is a big mixture of different kids! Jaynie Samantha has the glasses, Devon Quinn is from South Africa, Temple Georgina has the curls, and Drew Liona has, well, the lion suit!! Fellow collector Drew not only gave me her cabbie namesake, but the glasses for Jaynie and the lion suit (compliments of her mom.) What a great friend!! Is that lion costume the cutest or what? Jaynie is also very happy to be able to see all her new siblings!

Dorcus Maralyn shows little Tara Amy how to brush her hair. Dorcus confided in Tara the she really doesn't like her first name much, so we all decided it would be OK if she went by Maralyn. And if the other kids try to tease her, she can just distract them with a resounding version of "Good Ship Lollipop!"

At last, some female Furskins to shift the balance of male bear-power at the Ranch. Hattie helps the Possum Queen rule the roost. Those good ole boys Bubba and Boone won't know what hit 'em with these ladies on board! Who can say no to one of Hattie's yummy home-made pies? For that matter, who can say no to a Queen?!

Mimi Lenore, Gideon Frances, and Ramona Cherry go barefoot in the park. Actually, barefoot on the couch. All these kids were spur of the moment additions to the Ranch. Luckily, we deal in "spurs" here. :^) Ramona is a little artist in the making, as you can see by her painting romper and paintbrush. Although she's normally sensitive and aloof, Gideon and Mimi managed to get her to pose silly for this picture.

Men can be so difficult! Just ask Frank Dexter here, my first little boy astronaut. (Not to mention 1st kid with 2 bottom teeth!) He thinks that just because he's a boy he can pose on the space quilt all by himself. I did tell him that he can't go into space by himself. After all, he needs a crew to help him!
