The Story of My Kids Continued

The biggest kid always has to look after the littlest. Here big girl Finn Winona protects her baby preemie brother Max Brady. Max was on his way to live with grandma, but one look into those brown eyes and I knew he had to stay with me. He had become quite attached to Finn, who is my one and only softie. They are in their Easter best for this picture.

Seamus "Shaggy" Renton, Nicholette Michelle and Illiana Renee all made some big journeys to come live with me. Shaggy was almost missed on a Yahoo auction by Cat. I didn't make the reserve price, but she was nice enough to let me adopt him after all. He was a big boy, travelling in all the way from the east coast all by himself. Nicholette and Illiana had each other as travelling buddies, but they had even farther to go. They were adopted from Sonia in Canada! Gilbert and Lara were very happy to see some friendly faces from their Auntie Sonia!

Barnard Willis, Danika Annelise, Tess Marietta and Baxter Noel were all adopted from various people and places. Barnard came from a great seller in my area, Angela. He's glad he didn't go to far, so maybe his 1st mom can visit him. Danika came from the prestigious Terrin's CPKs. She is an athlete, in her jogging suit, but somehow managed to escape getting even a dot of dirt on her. Tess and Baxter travelled together from the east coast. (They seem to have a glut of cabbies over there. Or maybe just the cabbies I want!) Baxter is soon to be living with my cousin's fiance. He said that when he was little his mom wouldn't buy him a Cabbage Patch Kid. Baxter thought maybe he could mend his inner cabbie-less child. :^)

Kate Cecile, Dean Cedric, Nathalie Michelle and Sophie Madelleine also showed up from many different places. Kate came with a group of kids, including brother Milo Andy in the picture below. She couldn't see very well so I fitted her with some new glasses, compliments of Drew Along with the glasses Drew sent Dean Cedric, that suave debonair kid who is soon to break all the ladies hearts. Nathalie Michelle was a lonely only child, like her mommy. Now has many, many other kids to play with! Sophie was adopted from my friend to the south, Reni! She'd like to give a shout-out to all her homies down in SoCal!

Unfortunately my dog refused to move, so Benny Artie, Milo Andy, Luna Skye and Hugo Rolando had to pose with his bum. Now, I know I'm not supposed to play favorites with any kids, but Benny has been mine since I rescued him from the confines of his shipping box. I just can't help myself! Milo also came in with Benny, and I could tell he was in BAD shape. His hair was clipped off ala Kid n' Play, and most of his limbs were hanging off. After some tender loving stitches, and a hat borrowed from new bro Mario, he's good as new. Luna decided to accompany brother Barnard on his latest mission, becoming my kids. Last but not least there's Hugo, who I had adopted so long ago from a seller in Canada I had almost forgotten he was coming at all. (Last time I send a personal check to Canada!)

Kenneth Brian and Casey Llewellyn are two very active tykes, as you can see by their sweatsuits. Kenneth came all the way from Southern California, from his former mommie Reni. She just knew how much I would love him, so she managed somehow to part with him. Kenneth wants his Auntie Reni to know how much he loves his new home! (But he does miss her, and brother Kendall.) Luckily I was able to find Casey to play football with him. Casey was a rescue from a thrift store. I almost missed him, until I noticed his little toes peeking out from under a pile of stuffed animals. Good thing I have developed those cpk hawk eyes!

Stella Sydney and Miles Henley strike a pose. Both kids needed some tender loving care, especially Stella who had a rare skin disorder (aka mildew!) Both kids are very happy now, and are ready to show off their silly sides.

Here we have Ruby Lilia and Hugo Rolando. Hugo asked to re-pose with Ruby, because he's very much in love with her red curls. (He says to keep that a secret.) And who can blame him? Ruby came to me from a GREAT seller in California, Denise! She wants to thank Denise for giving her such a nice new home, and a new little brother like Hugo.

At long last, Boone has come home! I found an EXACT replica of my Furskin on eBay, and much to my surprise (since they always seem to get snapped up) no one else bid on him. He even still has his tag! His buddy, now renamed Bubba, is very happy to have a friend his own size. All the kids are nice, but he needed someone to go hunting for salmon with.

The three gingham girls, Nilly Gazelle, Tay Noelle, and Sahara Reni watch over newborn baby Lorri Jodie. Nilly was a rescue from a thrift store. Once again the cpk hawk eyes prevail! Tay was a minty win from eBay, who just loves having so many new brothers and sisters to play with. Sahara was lost in the desert when I found her. Well, lost in a desert thrift store that is. She likes it much better up north, where it's cooler! (For the time being.) She also likes being named after her favorite auntie Reni. And finally Jodi, who is hiding a little sprout of black hair under her hat.

Calvin David and Luther Van were two kids I had been searching for. Calvin looks just like the cabbie my cousin had when he was small, minus the elephant romper, which he never wore anyway cause he was always nekkid! The new and improved Calvin wanted to be a bit more decent for his picture. Luther is a fuzzy headed boy who loves to cuddle, which is good, because I love to cuddle him!
