Hello, My name is Jennifer Beach. I founded Feathers to Fur in 2004 after 3 years of pet sitting on my own. I founded the company with the hopes that my favorite pastime would become a rewarding career. So far I have not been disappointed. I am doing something that I truly love and it makes all the difference in the world. I have always been an animal lover. Growing up, my family always had a menagerie of animals - from dogs, cats, fish, and exotic birds to squirrels, possums, deer and raccoons (my mother and father are Wildlife Rehabilitators). I have always felt that I had a special place in my heart for all animals. My love of animals is what led me to becoming a veterinary assistant for a local animal hospital. While I was working at the animal hospital, it was brought to my attention that many of our clientele wanted an alternative option to placing their beloved pets in a kennel while they were away. They felt that it was stressful enough to be leaving their pets behind without knowing that their pets would be under the additional stress of being forced into a new environment. It was then that I decided to offer my services as a personal pet sitter. By allowing your pet to be cared for in his or her own home while you are away, you greatly reduce the stress placed on your pet. Many pets who are boarded at a kennel while their families are away contract diseases and parasites from outside hosts. These pets can become depressed and bored without the comforts of their own home and the personal attention that they are accustomed to. Feathers to Fur is committed to making your absence as stress-free as possible for your pets. We will come to your home and provide the love, care, and attention that your pet deserves at a price that you can afford. Feathers to Fur is bonded and will be insured soon.
