okay, there's a bunch of new news, so let me try to line it up appropriately for you

#1: recording. after about a month of on/off work we finished recording on a handful of songs last week. now all that's left is to mix/master the tunes. We'll be releasing the disc (along with some very interesting DIY artwork and packaging) in mid-to-late january. why so late if we're almost done? well, let's just say we've got a few surprises up our sleeves (i know...the suspense is killing you).

#2: basement rock 2k4. back by popular demand, it's the second annual nate derby basement rock! this year, there's a special twist: it's also a new year's party. we are currently in the process of recruiting other bands to help us ring in the new year, and let me assure you: it's gonna be fun. like....really fun. like, dick clark fun. so show up to that.

#3: battle of the bands. we will once again be playing in the battle of the bands at water street music hall on january 7th, 2004. tickets can be purchased from ticketmaster or (preferrably) from us.

well, that's about it. sorry to leave you hanging for so long but we've all been busy doing seperate things, but in the next couple months we'll be back in somewhat full action. so stick around. it should get interesting.

I'm sure alot of people have been wondering what the hell
we have been doing over the last month. Well here's the
scoop. We're pretty much taking a little break from booking
and playing shows so that we can focus on recording,
practicing, preparing for the Waterstreet Battle, and writing
new music. But, if there's a show somebody wants to get
us on over the next couple months, we'll friggin play it.
After the release of the EP (I'll get to that in a minute)
we're going all out and trying to play as many shows as
possible and doing weekend tours. We're all pretty tired
from work, school, and recording, but we're excited for
the next couple months of our music careers. About the
EP, yes, the demo has become an EP. It will be five
to six songs and be all handmade (that hasn't changed).
Expect it by Christmas. That means...as of right now we
have one month to finish it. We also have t-shirts printed,
but all we have left are mediums and smalls, and unfortunately
they are $10. As soon as we sell enough to the point of
making profit, we will be getting more done for $4 a shirt,
and be selling them for $6. As Jonah Matranga once said,
"Rock should be less like a mall and more like a garage sale."
We'll leave you with that.
