Building a Railing -- Part Two

These are some partially developed repousse leaves. A white paper pattern is underneath the small leaf on the right. That pattern is developed into the leaves on the right using a number of specially shaped hammers and stakes.

The design of the rail called for two types of repousse leaves. A number of special hammers and forming stakes were made. Here are some water-leaves and the tools used for making them. Due to the slant in the railing all of the parts come in two different curves depending on their orientation.
