The Mathematics Department at Fontbonne Academy uses the Saxon Mathematics Program, an incremental and integrated approach to mathematics. Homework is essential to success in the Saxon program and is assigned each day at all levels. Extra help by faculty is available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:00 - 2:30 and on Friday by appointment from 2:00 - 2:30. Extra help is also available in designated subject support rooms during the school day, and at other times by appointment with individual teachers. A student who is experiencing difficulty may also be referred by her teacher for individual peer tutoring by upper level mathematics students and members of the National Honor Society.
